"I reckon it is going to be the biggest British release of the year.The blocks of colour form a code which I'm told is part of a clever marketing plan.The campaign starts later this month when flyers will be handed out to fans so they can start to work out the code.

The whole cover will be slowly revealed as the launch date of June 6 draws nearer. The solution of the code has been designed to work all around the world. Miles Leonard,boss of the band's record company,Parlophone,reckons X&Y will beat the worldwide sales of about 10 million racked up by the band's previous release AROBTTH.

The first single of X&Y,Speed Of Sound,is out on May23.

CHRIS MARTIN, and the band are about to start a gruelling 18 months' promotional tour.They will play songs from the album for the first time the day before its release at a special MTV gig in London.The 60 minute concert will be televised across the MTV network alongside a TV special called ALL EYES ON COLDPLAY.

Chris says: "It's really cool that fans are flying in to London from all over the world to see us play for MTV.We'll try and make it worth the effort."

My guess is that perhaps the art we see isnt the entire cover, just a portion of it. Its cool that it will work all around the world too, so what is it a word, or ........ wow my brain is exploding i really dont know!

really, i would so love to meet the band, or just an intimate gig or something.....i mean i dont have to see them, its not my life goal or anything, im not that obsessed, its just something i would be honoured to do or have the experience of. But if i could meet them or see them play, i would travel to anwhere in North America....and i knew it was Grandpa, i only watched that movie at easter, i dont know why i said uncle!

I've never met the band either.. and I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to have that opportunity as well.. it would be so surreal, I mean I know they are regular guys.. but after you meet someone you admire like that.. you never look at them the same. Even though I met Interpol for like 1 minute.. lol I watch vidoes in a whole new light.. lol its like.. 'woah.. they're real!' lol I dont know how to explain it.. lol
