^ I know the tickets are expensive but I bought a pair. I didn't want to get screwed out like last time for the Kool Haus show or go to ticketmaster on the 4th and get bad seats.

^ That's right, the 2nd is the first day of exams at UW. I didn't get presale, although I knew that tickets through MusicToday would be ridiculous for Canadians anyway.

As timeo said.... great presale indeed.

You can't always get what you want. Were you one of the lucky ones to go to the Kool Haus gig?

I signed up for a slew of contests too, and reported tons of people on Ebay. Well... at least you got chosen during the lottery, are you not buying tickets for sure then through that?

I figure the Edge will have a pre-sale through the inside edge. They're doing it for Pearl Jam which goes on sale this Saturday, presale starts at 10am today and ends at 5pm today, probably will be the same thing for Coldplay. I already got tickets because my family has Leafs seasons tickets and we get offered tickets to each concert at the ACC (not free of charge of course). But I got three and I only going with one other person. Do you think a single seat will sell on Ebay? Its pretty good location, at the side of the stage a few rows back.

By the way, this summer is killing me for concerts, so much of my paycheque is going towards concerts, Coldplay, Killers, Sloan, Green Day, Pearl Jam, U2, and I'm dying to see Oasis as well but I don't think thats going to fly. My poor poor bankaccount.

Josie was saying on the radio that they're gonna have a special Coldplay concert announcement on Monday. What does that mean? I dunno, I guess you better listen....

Carpe Diem, the Pearl Jam presale ended already, it's sold out. If Coldplay has an edge presale too, imagine how fast that will sell out.

I didn't get Pearl Jam ticekts because I forgot about the presale, it was probably over by the time I got home from class anyway. And I would rather go to the Kitchener show anyway. A Kitchener show? How crazy is that?

Well...i got my presale and it's a joke...prices $50 or $70...sec 300 or sec 100...totals come to $70 USD and $100 USD....no thanks.....looks like it will be a 360 set up....what happend to the $50 days for floors like at the Molson Amp or $40 for sec 100's for the Sears theatre? have fun all but i'm not wasting my time or money...especially for just a "normal" sounding 3rd album!!!

yup...but i'm passing on it... so some people may get theirs....i had a choice of sec 109 row 10 until May 28th.....ACC theater set up does not have this section so i figure it's the same setup as U2....

Ouch, the entire ACC? Yikes.

109 are close to the stage though. But you are right, those are too much money.

From Bookie's concert announcement email:

"Coldplay are returning to Toronto on August 2nd @ Air Canada Centre. Listen on Monday (May 30th) for all the details and for your chance to win tickets! "

I thought they would announce another date, fuck this. :dozey:

we have another opportunity to buy tickets before the general sale. although i fear the prices will be more expensive than ticketmaster (if that is even possible  )

Bah! I can't afford the musictoday prices anyway.

Do you want that song or not?

$71 US PER TICKET. OUTRAGEOUS! I know don't hate ticketbastard as much. Although I fear tickets will sell out super fast on Saturday morning which will result in me not getting tickets altogether. I don't care if they are shitty seats, but I think it will be hard to get tickets.

Wait, you don't hate ticketmaster? I don't understand.

it's not TM to blame...it's the band themselves...they chose the Great West Satge set-up...TM is only making money on the service charges....it's $57, level 300 and $71, level 100 even without the pre-sale...i've decided not to go as this whole thing is a joke....Coldplay want to be as big as U2? well...they've definitley achieved their arrogance!! i mean...who wants to pay $150 for the premium parking and laminate?? good music...bad pr.....and this album has been so hyped up that that's the only reason why people will buy it....honestly...i don't think it's as good as A Rush(musically) nor even come close to Parachutes....they played it safe and did not re-invent themselves......

The set up for this show is West End Stage. I don't remember what the floor layout is, is it just 'pit' GA, or are there going to be specific co-ordinates on where you sit?

And so if, how do they work? A-Z and then AA -ZZ? And will these sections include chairs?
