i was just sat at my piano tryin to get the chords for x&y - i realised theyre pretty similar to pyramid song (by radiohead) especially when the drums kick in.

What sort of song is it. What would you compare it to on Parachutes and AROBTTH

not sure...chris sings very high! theres sort of a soaring guitar and it builds up and up and introducing heavy strings at the end which is what reminded me of the beatles.....like a lot of the songs on the album it sounds radiohead/beatles/u2 influenced. Definitely hear REM in this song, which I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of at first listen. Love it now. The piano fade out is nice, wish it jammed on a little longer.

I see the similarities between The Pyramid Song and X&Y.....but I think I like X&Y better... :D

I think some songs are a bit similar as other artist songs, but all bands influence others bands as COLDPLAY influence other bands. :)

 

That's nice, because this means they all are friends or anyways they appreciate others bands works. :D
