i like the way the newbies can make a thread and introduce themselves there. besides this New Members-section would be pretty empty if there was only one topic.

Nobody's forcing you to welcome anyone! I think a few hellos is sufficient to make people feel welcome. I do appreciate everyone who was so kind to me.
