Amsterdam-Live 2003

Featured Replies

At the beginning of the end to Amsterdam in Coldplay Live 2003, Jonny has a little tuner-sized piece of equipment that he holds over his pickups to create a feedback effect without strumming. Then again, that all might be a lie, because I have never seen that kind of equipment before and i don't know what it is called or where to find it? Could anyone help me out? I'm bugging all of my friends about Jonny's "Little Black Box" and they're going to kill me soon if I don't find out. Thanks.

the box is called an e-bow. It keeps the string vibrating to make those sounds.

Gaz Combs of the band Supergrass uses one too, i think for the song 'moving'.

Ha! Sigur Ros has a song called "E-Bow" on ( ).

...*random*

I love the sound the e-bow makes.. its spine tingling.

Thank you very, very much. I now have something new to invest in!

Seems like the best place to put this...is an Ebow worth the investment because I have been seriously considering buying one for a while now. There are some great deals on eBay at the moment...for example the Ebow plus for £58.95 Buy It Now. Some reviews and opinions would be much appreciated! Also, is there a difference between the Ebow and the Ebow plus?
