Coldplay in San Diego

Featured Replies

I went to both Irvine shows and the SD show definitly kicked both of those shows asses. There wasn't really a change in the setlist... except they played Green Eyes instead of Don't Panic.... which was absolutly amazing. I beleave they also switched out another song but I was so into the show and singing along I lost track. I love them... I can't wait until they pass through socal again!

didn't they play amsterdam instead of everything's not lost?i wasn't there but someone told me they played green eyes and amsterdam.i am so jealous!i really wish i would of went to san diego instead of irvine.

I was there last night and it was simply amazing! The setlist:

Square One

Politik

Yellow

GPASUYF

Speed of Sound

Low

AROBTTH

Amsterdam

Green Eyes

Til Kingdom Come

White Shadows

The Scientist

Clocks

Talk

Swallowed in the Sea

In My Place

Fix You

That's not in perfect order but it's complete. Also after Til Kingdom Come they played an awesome cover of Ring of Fire. I'm not sure if they do that often or if they never have or what. Anyone ever seen them do it?

Chris talked alot and said that they had had a shitty day but playing to friendly "San Diegites? San Diegans? Which is it?" The crowd all yelled back "San Diegans!" Was a great way to forget his bad mood. I have a wonderful short video of Chris running up to the camera and kissing it that I will treasure forever. The show was prefect!

Ok. That's it. I'm getting scalped and seeing them Saturday. WALLET, COME FORTH! I SUMMON UPON THEE OH MIGHTY CREDIT CARD!

AMSTERDAM!? Lucky!!

I still like the 8/21 show in Irvine's setlist better though... :P with the exception of Amsterdam...

i was sad dude i like it it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that sounds like an amazing set, irvine got don't panic and everything's not lost instead of green eyes and amsterdam i really liked the set list for irvine but i would have loved to hear amsterdam ;]

I hope a bootleg of this show surfaces.

AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! Gosh i'm soooo jealous-------still i got to see them twice--so irvine was better :P How bout the crowd though??? where they as dead as the ones in Irvine? :/

GREEN EYES AND AMSTERDAM WTF.

ditto. I would crap myself if that was the playlist.

Is there a bootleg of this gig available?

I don't think the crowd was dead at all... maybe it was just where i sat since everyone was going nuts and singing around me. But the crowd didn't seem as lame as the other socal shows. But I still enjoyed them. Im just happy I got to hear the change in the setlist. I wonder what they will throw in on the east coast... im jealous already!

God damnit! No! Fuck! No! AH! SHIT! NO!

My parents didn't let me go to this concert... supposedly because it was 'too far' (it's only 2 hours away!) and we could of been in the section behind the orchestra. Section 101 Row P. :( That's amazing compared to the lawn seats we had in Irvine!

Fuck fuck fuck!

And they played AMSTERDAM!? GAH! MY FAVORITE SONG! NOOOOO!!!!

AHHHH!!! I think I'll go kill myself now.

EDIT: Sorry for the excessive cursing. :/

I think we ALL are very jealous of the people who were lucky enough to be there at SD-----me too, if i would have known the setlist---i go rob a bank to be able to go :( -----Damnit-----it hurts so much more when you are only two hours from the place and you didnt go------FUCK---FUCK

IM SO JEALOUS

^Gah, you're two hours away also?

Yep, we're pissed, lol.

WOW!

3rd time seeing them for me. By far the best of them. They were absolutely incredible. During Talk a girl was holding her phone up in the front, Chris took it and sang into it for about 20 seconds. I wonder what the person on the other end of that call was thinking.

I died when they played Rush of Blood To THe Head. They didn't even play that when I saw them for that tour. I loved how he kept making references to the movie Anchorman.
