My thoughts on Seattle 1/25

Featured Replies

after seeing them outdoors and indoors, I think that they are better outdoors...last summer just had a magical feel to it being outside and all - people were more free to really get down, scream, sing and jump around.

Tonight was still awesome.

Chris and Guy both are sportin some big fro growth. Johnny was ROCKIN OUT! I am serious he was like a total rockstar tonight.

The set list was similar to the summer but they threw some goodies in.

My favorite part was in Talk, he changed the words a bit..."You take a picture of something you see, in the future where will SHE be"

I can't decide if that means Gwyneth, Apple or that they are having another girl.

Chris has really been doing the yoga too - he was doing these crazy moves on stage like backbends bouncing back up from the stage. Toward the end of the show he sprinted back to the far seats and up into the crowd. It was amazing - I was worried he was going to get mauled!

Then when he was done he sprinted - read it sprinted back to the stage...this man is freakin fast as lightening!

The songs were great - he changed the pacing on a lot of the lyrics so many of them had a bit of a different sound than you are used to hearing. I love this band, they are so great.

i totally agree. the august concert was waaaaaay better, but this one was still so great! it's cool that they remembered the bad traffic (even though i bypassed it because i got there at noon and got to park in the employee parking lot  ) and i loved the things about the superbowl and the starbucks line in gpasuyf!

damn you i posted an extensive review in a new thread should i just paste it in here or something?

yeah, totally agree. i saw them three times over the summer and the second time was at Madison SquareGarden which was one of their only huge stadium gigs they did over the summer. It was decent, the place was too big and no one was singing and the people on the floor were stagnant. The band seemed a bit demoralized and didnt seem into it. But then i saw them at Bristow Virginia at an outside venue for the last show of the tour and it was incredible. When they walked out they had no idea how many people were actually there, the venue was 1.5 times over the capacity with the lawn, it was incredible. I was in the very front by the stage and when i turned around all i could see was a sea of people, literally the horizon was simply people, it was amazing. Chris was shocked!

My thoughts exactly. It will be fun to compare the orlando show to the tampa one. I'm going to both, and I cant wait. Its gonna be awesome. I have a feeling the tampa show will be one of the best on the tour. They owe it to us.

why is it so many thread on this concert? its better when its all in one thread :idea2:

;)

"They put a Starbucks on the corner of every fucking place!"

"This is the section of the show we pay homage to a great American....George W...I mean Johnny Cash"

"Do you know where I could get a good cup of coffee around here?"

"It took us like 7 years to get out of there" (about White River traffic) and "We're the only band in the world who cares about your traffic problems"

And many mentions of our Seahawks and the Superbowl! :D
