MySpace Is The Trojan Horse Of Internet Censorship

The ways are being paved for some "extreme things" as you call them.

Definetly things are getting worse, and society in general is slowly evolving for the worse. The problem is that most people are either too blind, or lack the intelligence to become enlightened to the fact that they're constantly being screwed-over by the upper echelons of society. Whether its evolving into some sort of pseudo-New World Order type deal as many conspiracy buffs would tend to believe, or whether it all just over reaction; the world today as we know it in my mind is on the brink of something catastrophic. If take a look at something like my space for example, its just another display of how a minority in the world has absolute domination over the majority of the population. Its all about enlightenment, yet most of are species is to ignornant to be aware of what is happening around them.

ok.. so whats the problem?? Does it make you any less of a person if you have a myspace or not???? Whats the big fuss about anyways?

How can you compare myspace with 1984? For a start myspace AFAIK is not compusory, in contrast to the fictionary book where BB is watching you everywhere you go.

If you don't want your myspace life monitored and censored simply stay away from it. I do. And that's why I can make a joke about it. There is no way on this earth any site will be a mandatory sign-up either now or in the future. Jeez, some governments are having a hard enough time persuading the populous to get an ID card, and that IS mandatory.

I would say though, gmail did a great job in that they used massive incentives to get voluntary registrations. Nearly everyone I know who uses computers regularly has a gmail account. And they're all suffering from tergetted advertisments based on the contents of their inbox.

you have a myspace???!! why haven't you added me...

Just for the record, when I mentioned 1984 I wasn't comparing it to MySpace. ;)

Yes, I had realised that some people had bizzarly linked the two.

no, it's just that the people who own myspace conspire to steal our money and want us to pay manditory subscriptions somehow... ? if I'm understanding right

Ehh? I don't have myspace. That's why I haven't added you ;)

I wasn't talking about junk mail. I was talking about targetted advertisement banners within your inbox based on contents of your archived messages.
