First when I saw it I thought:"What's that?"

And I was really wondering the link between the vid and the song.

this video is the most avant garde and postmodern thing Coldplay will probably ever do.

awful song though- I don't skip, on hardly any CD by any artist but I have to skip this song on X&Y- so it fits the video for me. I don't know how Coldplay managed to make the three absolute worst songs on their last album either singles or the title track (Talk, X&Y, Hardest Part) and they could have probably picked better singles than Speed of Sound and Fix You too. I woulda gone with 1. Speed of Sound (they obv wanted to play it *very* safe and retro but ok), 2. White Shadows, 3. Fix You, 4. A Message, 5. Square One (sent to the rock stations). I think I coulda got their album waaay more sales if I was in charge of marketing, not that it deserved more.

i personally dont like the video, i dont find it attracting at all.. they could've done something much better giving them more importance.

 

most of my friends dont like Coldplay and when i asked them. have you seen Coldplay's new video? they answered which one? i haven't seen anything new from them so i said the one with the old lady.. and they went oh right i hadn't realised it was them i was concentrated watching the woman flying around.

 

i dont think that wasn't the public reaction they were looking for, the same happened with Talk.. they said ah yeah the robot.

 

what i mean is that they are not relating their music with the video.

 

 

 

another thing i dont understand is why people keep saying X & Y (the album) isn't good enough!! im sick of listening all this $h!t over and over again (sorry about the word) but i think its great and they've been improving since Parachutes. if im getting all this wrong id like someone to tell me cause thats the impression i got from lots of fans here.
