Hmm. it's been a while since I've seen a packet of those beauties. Yes, yes, I recall them now. They had superb "melt in your mouth" qualities.

 There's a grocery store around here that imports that brand of chips/crisps whatever they are from the UK. Some of the weirdest flavors I've ever seen.

I made the mistake of trying the marmite flavored ones once. :sick2: No one had any idea what marmite was at the time...

There have been many great choices thus far. However we have all forgotten what very well may be the greatest crisp ever released. The great "Skip"

Marmite, you either love it or hate it

Either Quavers or Skips.

You have angered The Faceman. Marmite is a disgusting substance made from the left overs of the fermentation process. My pallete will taste such cullinary monstrosities.

Marky I agree, Salt n' Shake are great! Have you ever tried them without the salt? :sick2: Never again I tell you!

Faceman- no way! :shocked3:

Marmite is amazing!!! I have it on toast every morning. :D My life would be empty without marmite!

So what IS marmite then, anyway? I finally found one British girl who said it was some sort of a spread and that she hated it, but not what it was made of.

I love the marmite crisps!! must be for a refined taste only eh Steph!!! :laugh4:

Does anyone remember those chocolate crisps that got released for about 2 weeks before the all got recalled. They fucking minged man.

Erin - it's yeast extract i think. Oh man its SO good! :nice:

Haha, yeah Kara that's right! :smug:

Why would you eat it without the salt? Why why? :stunned:

like i mentioned before. marmite is made up from left overs of fermentation (i.e. making beer) so basically its yeast. and once again....it tastes horrible.

Yeast extract? Weird. :S

I'll probably try it again someday if I ever make it to Britain, but definatly not on potatoe chips.
