messy rooms

Featured Replies

do you like a messy room better or a clean room? In a lot of ways I acutlaly think I prefer a messy place... I feel more welcome to a place that's messy in a certain way I don't feel welcome in a place that's not...... That may not be true at all but it feels good to be in a place that's messy... I think there are two reasons for that

1 - the feeling of being surrounded by stuff is comforting (to me)

2 - it feels like the person / people are not hiding their messy side to the invited

yep, I sort of agree... I used to be a clean freak and basically my room was spotless every day... but now I wait basically until it's really bad and then i clean it all at once until it's rather spotless

yeah, me too. or until my mom screams at me: "CLEAN YOUR NASTY ROOM'' that really ticks me off when she does that... im like: "I DONT TELL YOU TO CLEAN YOUR ROOM" ... and then i get grounded :laugh3:

yeah my mums is like that. always wants to hide the messy side. my room is messy, but i hate how she thinks everyone will judge her by the state of her son's room. its crap. messy at home is good. except for messy desks. they suck.

MY 200th POST!!!

MY 114th POST!!!! LOL:D

I CONCUR!! WHO GIVES A RATS ASS HOW YOUR ROOM IS none of the company we get goes into my room anyway!

I hate having friends over when my room is messy which is all the time! My room is ugly clean because it looks bare but when its a mess it just looks festy!

i like when i only have to step over a few things to get to the tv.. if i start tripping to get anything then i go OCD style and then have to clean it... i cant stop until it is all clean! (OCD=obsessive compulsive disorder for all those who dont know)

haha, I sort of know what you mean by that. back living in a house in the middle of nowhere being messy was somehow fun also... but once in a while it was great when it was clean too even though it felt empty it is annoying stepping over stuff and feeling overcrowded

eheh.

Me too...when it's a total explosion of a mess...and I am down to my last clean shirt and jeans... I have to clean it.

My mother used to just take ALL of my mess and tangle it up in the middle of my room...so there was this big pile there when I would get home... It was even stuff that hadn't been included in the "mess".

It was her way of warning me and just about forcing me to clean it...

But actually, just two days ago...I had to clean it, because there was company. So its real clean right now.

O! I forgot there was a central theme...

A little touch of messines makes ME feel welome...and not so uncomfortable that I can't move around and not feel like I am gonna totally screw things up in my house or others.

I mean, I hate walking into those houses where you have to watch your step...

It all ties into the messy-messy, neat-neat concept:

When a room is perfectly clean, you tend not to want to be the person to make the first mess..and you feel so uncomfortable..you watch your step to not make a mess. BUT if its kinda messy, you don't mind so much to make a mess ...

so i like it a little ragg-ed.

haha....me too

i wait till school close to clean my room

so it can be that i clean my room 3 times a years :P

i feel that when the room is messy i can find my things more easier and don't have to keep it in the same place where i found because no one know where i found it anyway :D

seriously..do they think there will be some crazy emergency when company is over that will crazily lead them to your happens-to-be-messy room?!

No one ever comes into my room when there is company. I know parents never liked the idea of having to clean there room when company was over..and I know that they dislike the concept in question...

NEW TREAD*

I can never find the things I need when my room is clean cause I forget where I put them
