"In My Place" rip off

Featured Replies

maybe you shouldn't overreact because of that Ashlee Simpson song because Coldplay didn't write that riff as well... (take a look at the credits in the X&Y booklet)

Yeah, I think it's a riff from a U2 song or something, that's what I heard.

Well the story behind the nappies ripoff is that I was in a store and I heard it. I thought ' date=' Wow, how weird, they're playing the nappies in a store. Then I listened to the lyrics and they were different, but the song sounded so similar to the nappies![/quote']

I've actually never heard the nappies..I've tried to watch it but youtube wouldn't let me.

You know which riff from which song ?

No, sorry. :c There was a thread on it a while ago in this section... maybe run a search for it? I don't listen to U2 so I don't really know. :c

Can you send it to me ? Cause i've got all albums from u2 :)

I don't own the song (the two U2 songs I have are Walk On and With Or Without You, I'm not really a fan) but the thread is here in case you wanted to see it. They said Unforgettable Fire or Edge. I don't know for sure. Sorry. :c

You guys are thinking about 'Talk', which was a sample of Kraftwerk. 'Square One' Is completly original.

^^'Computer Love' is the Kraftwerk song, right?

You guys are thinking about 'Talk'' date=' which was a sample of Kraftwerk. 'Square One' Is completly original.[/quote']

Really?

Ahh wait I'm so lost right now.

You guys are thinking about 'Talk'' date=' which was a sample of Kraftwerk. 'Square One' Is completly original.[/quote']

no, you're wrong!

i just looked it up in the booklet and it said:" X1 [square One] has a guitar riff by Marr McGinn"

And the beginning of Square One is from Lost in Space.
