Serial gatecrasher storms Hitler auction

hitlerprotestPA_228x295.jpgRepeat offenders: Frank Sanazi (left) real name Pete Cunningham and Aaron Barschak after being removed from the 'Hitler' sale

Protesters have stormed a sale of watercolours believed to have been painted by Adolf Hitler.

Aaron Barschak, who gatecrashed Prince William's 21st birthday party, and a man dressed as Hitler shouted they were bidding "£6 million because the painting was a Mussolini" before security guards dragged them from the auction house.

Barschak came to public attention on June 21, 2003, when he scaled the walls of Windsor Castle and entered the royal party wearing a pink dress, a false beard and a Osama bin Laden-style turban.

Today, he and a colleague - who called himself Frank Sanazi - made their protest because they felt the sale of paintings by the Nazi dictator was offensive.

The collection, which has attracted worldwide interest, is being sold by Jefferys Auctioneers in Lostwithiel, Cornwall.

The protest happened halfway through the auction, with most paintings selling for thousands more than their estimates.
