k-Os (Canadian Artist)

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I just got my hands on the latest k-Os album "Atlantis: Hymns for Disco" and it is once again a masterpiece. For those of you who don't know k-Os (which is the case for most people outside Canada) he is an artist who has always broken down stereotypes and genre classifications. Though he's often thought of to be a rapper, his albums vary from indie rock, to blues, to michael jackson pop, to rock, to reggae. He sings, raps and plays several instruments. A few months ago he collaborated with the CBC Radio Orchestra, one of the last remaining live radio orchestras in the world, to create the song "Burning to Shine". I highly suggest getting this, you should be able to find it on most filesharing programs.

He has previously released two albums "Exit", which has been compared to Outkast's ATLiens and Lauryn Hill's "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill", and "Joyful Rebellion" which is often believed to be one of the most critically amazing albums in Canadian History.

Some of k-Os's best songs off these two albums are:

Superstar Part 0

Heaven only Knows

Man I Used to Be

Crabbuckit

Crucial

Dirty Water (featuring Sam Roberts)

Halleluja

Emcee Murdah

In listening to those songs alone you will undoubtedly gain an appreciation for what a diverse and talented artist k-Os is.

It will be available in Canada on the 10th of October, I would encourage all you Canadians to buy it and support k-Os. It won't be out in the US and Europe until the new year.
