Wow, that interview is pretty old. I remember watching that several times, trying to figure out what the heck each is saying. That guy interviewing sounds like a hyena when he laughs and plus I can STILL not understand the British accent with great ease. I didn't even understand half the stuff that was said in that interview then and still can't now.

Secondly my friend, I remember a comment about Gervias, saying that he does comical interviews like this. Maybe not all of his interviews, but this interview is clearly for comedy.

It is hard to be empathic in this case for myself, because there are no jokes being made about my ethnicity or about my home state or anything I might find offending, so it's easy for me to say "It's only a joke". I can understand you being upset though. Maybe this isn't your type of humor. And I can understand that too. Racial jokes get kind of old after a while. There are several within this. Be a little bit more original. I didn't find this interview hysterical, but just gave me a little chuckle here and there.

That's good that you know it was just a joke. We oftentimes do things that are a bit irrational based on emotion without sitting down and thinking for a moment.

There's no reason at all to take offence to anything in the interview, even if it isn't your type of humour. Ricky Gervais is extremely funny!!!

I'm an incredibly politically correct person, I get called a hippie all the time (even have two peace tattoos), but I laughed so hard I cried when I first saw this.
