phew... i need some help.

since i'm such a nice and sweet girl, i want to bake some cookies for my class for the 6th of december. well, well, well.

but i do need a reciept first ;)

sooo... does anybody know how to bake those huge typical american cookies?

i planned to give one to each person and write their names on it :)

need to make about 20...

I'm not really a baking person but i may be able to help. What type of cookies do you need to make?

i don't mind at all!

i just don't want them to be too sweet since i still want to write their names on it with (damn, i'm missing that word)...

i mean this stuff.... you can write with it, but it's eatable.

Oh, so you should probably just do regular sugar cookies

I tried making my first batch of cookies ever last night...they're pretty awful, so you probably don't want my help!:embarassed: But my house-mate told me after tasting one that I needed to use nearly 50 percent sugar next time. I used maybe 20 percent, and you can barely taste it, so he's probably right! Hope that's useful.

maaah, just the thought of that amount of sugar makes me sick. +_+

i'm probably gonna use way too little sugar so they will turn out pretty salty. :dozey:

dear god it's Saint Nicholas,day full of sweets,every child gets loads of weets that day

there's this story about saint nicholas who gave three prostitutes money while they were sleeping because they needed their marriage portion.

and yes, since then it's a tradition to put one's socks/boots outside on the night of the 5th and you'll find nice treats, such as candy or presents, in your boot.

i usually just make the chocolate chip cookies with the recipe on the back of the chocolate chips bag ;)

they turn out alright.... my brothers love it when i make them.........

Ok I got it, thanks. Never heard of such holiday before. I just love all these holidays with socks full of presents and all. In Russia people don't ever do it, they only put presents under the Christmas tree... Aw I want to have a real Christmas stock at least once in my life :(

Some of us don't celebrate that day. I've never even heard of it.

5 december :p it's the birthday of 'sinterklaas' ;)

and I get much presents :D
