Whistling

Featured Replies

I check to see if there was already a thread like this but it was about 3 years old so here is a new one!

I just watched a documentary on whistling and I never had any idea people took it so seriously. When I was 7 or 8 I couldn't stop whistling. I used to get in trouble a lot at school for it lol. I never really notice when I whistle though. I often whistle to Ode to Joy and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. I wish I could whistle like the pros. There is serious business in whistling!!! :P

Do you whistle and if so to what tune?

Oooooooooh I love the songs you have chosen to whistle regulary.....:P

hmmmmm......I'm not even sure which songs I whistle.....I think only some random songs that come to my mind.....sometimes I annoy myself with this....but I can't control myself when I do it.......

Haha yeah most of the time I don't take notice of my whistling because I'm so compulsive! I think my flute teacher got me whistling to those tunes. He is sooo good at it...like an old fashion whistler for the 40s lol

i first start whistling when i learn how to play flute

before that all i can make is a weird sound :P

Haha maybe it is a talent only flute players can get good at? :P

haha, may be

but when i was young, i thought only men can do the whistle but turns out it's just inappropriate(not sure if i spell it right) for women in my country to do it.

Really? That's a bit strange. Where do you come from?

Thailand, and i think it's strange too lol

I also play flute. And I like whistling. The only problem is that the people around me don't:)

And I learned to whistle propely after I started playing the flute.

yeah i whistel a lot, and usually to the songs that play randomly on my playlist.

I like to whistle the song "Black Swan".....random

damn, now i cannot stop whistling "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik".

but i didn't know there was some serious business about whistling... :dozey:

i know that girl from elementary school that could whistle through her teeth. kinda creepy.

I was sure I'd started a thread about whistling because, I cant, at all, and it annoys me a hell of a lot.

But it turns out Julia made the thread:

I wuv Coldplaying history!

But I dont think anyone should worry about re-creating threads, after 3 or 4 years we're bound to have talked about the same things over and over again. So just re-introduce them to a new crowd, nothing wrong with that.

Fresh topics are the best even if they've been done before, because you dont have to sift through pages and pages to find new responses.

Whistle on I dare say, whistle on...

Whoops! Mis-read that

But searching for whistling threads kinda nicely passes the time when you have a 5 thousand word essay to be doing.

Hey I tried whistling to that and its quite a nice whistle. As of now I wont be able to stop whistling to that song! :P:D

I could never whistle at all until I got braces in 6th grade.

Before that I had a big gap between my two front teeth, and it drove me crazy that I couldn't whistle.
