Click on the myspace link to listen in
November 20, 200718 yr Author that's a dangerous question to ask on this board I think :) lol......i think your right but if we're shit and we sound nothing like them.....thas what we want i would never want to be a copy of a band......especially not coldplay their hard to follow....lol
November 23, 200718 yr Author i take it....that the forums have spoken...lol we do not sound like coldplay nor will we ever
November 28, 200718 yr Author A coldplay tribute band? nah not a tribute band those are some of our early recordings.....we were initially a cover band....but we came up with the song "cos I Love You" which motivated us to write our own stuff....but coldplay was the start of it all for us.....we got our inspirations from them.....thas why we still do covers every now and again at our shows
November 28, 200718 yr Any time a band used a piano in a ballad nowadays, they get compared to Coldplay, lol. Drifting Out To Sea reminds me a bit of Chris's low voice, and his lyrics, but I don't think overall that you sound like Coldplay. Some of the keyboards in This Is How The World Is also remind me of X&Y era CP. It's obvious from your arrangements that you're inspired by them. And it's really nice music. I like it alot!! Thanks for sharing.:)
December 4, 200718 yr Author The music is good... Until the singing begins ugh very negative thing to post my friend.....but no fear we gonna take that and the state you live in .....lol
December 4, 200718 yr The music is good... Until the singing begins ugh Ouch!:( Maybe there was a less rude way to say that??
December 5, 200718 yr Author Ouch!:( Maybe there was a less rude way to say that?? its okay my friend people have their own opinion we went to the UK and they loved the singing there and many other places here in the states they loved the singing so one statement aint gonna stop what we're doing.....especially since our lead singer has just started singing lesson
December 5, 200718 yr its okay my friend people have their own opinion we went to the UK and they loved the singing there and many other places here in the states they loved the singing so one statement aint gonna stop what we're doing.....especially since our lead singer has just started singing lesson Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but I would have phrased it differently, that's all. ANyway, I like the vocals, and with some coaching, they'll only get better.:)(I'm glad you're mature enough not to take it personally!)
December 5, 200718 yr The Mugees Oh wow! I like your Music guys. Good stuff, especially "This Is How The World Is" with decent vocals, a hint of technoy style, and catchy bass lines. The lead guitar riffs in "Cos I Love You" are very Buckland-ish and simliar to "A Rush of Blood to the Head" but still nice. And "Drifting Out to Sea" sound sort of like "For You" & "Swallowed In The Sea" put together. The vocals on the "Don't Panic" cover are pretty spot on, but the guitar work needs a bit of improving.... Well the songs overall are a bit Coldplay-esque but so what!? Having someone say that your music sounds like Coldplay is a compliment in my books. ;)
December 5, 200718 yr well, here is my opinion...i think you do sound something like coldplay, except for the voice haha, but it is a really nice music, i like it :) congrats! and keep playing... eva.salinas
December 5, 200718 yr Sorry it's off-topic, but when someone's new to Coldplaying, and they use their first post to give someone a compliment, that makes my day!!!:):):) Welcome to the forum!
December 6, 200718 yr really nice work... "Cos I Love You" is a good song - I like it... Keep working and good luck...:):)
