FOR ANYONE IN THE U.S. WHO CAN VOTE:

Featured Replies

PLEASE look up Mike Gravel. He's a democratic presidential candidate who has been shut out of the last two debates simply because he hadn't raised enough MONEY in his campaign. If you care at all about our country as a whole you will make an educated decision when you vote, and not just treat this as a popularity contest. Gravel was an Alaskan senator back in the day who single-handedly ended the draft and released the Pentagon papers, exposing government lies and secrecy. He's an honest man who doesn't take money from lobbyists, so he really needs our support. Go to http://www.gravel2008.us or http://www.myspace.com/mikegravelforpresident and DONATE on December 5th, to show that you support a real honest candidate who cares about more than a political agenda.

In case you actually read all that and are still interested, here are some of his policies:

He wants to get the hell out of the middle east and stop trying to tell other countries what to do, and make America a peaceful, non-interventionist nation.

His "National Initiative for Democracy" plan will allow any regular person to submit laws to Congress and have a voice in lawmaking.

He wants to end the war on drugs, legalize marijuana and treat addiction as a health problem, not a criminal one.

IF YOU ARE VOTING THEN VOTE RIGHT, BROTHERS.

I'm not a US citizen, but I follow US politics closely, and I've had the 'where's Gravel?' conversation with a couple of my American friends. I'm a member of the Green party here, and they're always shut out, mostly due to lack of money. It's scary how good ideas and common sense can be buried by the Almighty Dollar.

Thanks for this post, and I echo your sentiments. Any US voters should check this out!!!!!

We have a green party in the U.K. and they get shut out because people don't want them, therefore there's only a handful of M.P.s from the Green Party.

people pays so much attention to US politics... ok I understand probably that's the most "important" country in the world but still

there's some places in the world where they have really bad politicians and no one cares about it... just look to Venezuela

You HAVE Green MPs? THat puts you ahead of us! It's beginning to look like we might be able to get one in this time (The Green candidate in London, Ontario is faring well in opinion polls), but it's going to take alot of work.

Looking at the list of current MP's it looks like the 2 Green MPs got voted out in 2005.
