February 4, 200818 yr Okay people, I need your help! I need some recipes of traditional food from all over the world plus some traditional songs that can be found on eMule. I have enough food from Europe (but not songs!), so now I need mostly recipes from Africa, Asia, Australia and Americas. Food should be simple, easy and quick to prepare, becasue we have a small kitchen and it's for an event i'm organising. Pretty please. Also, I'd like to ask Julia and Grace (or any other German coldplayer) what do I need for Spatzle. I got this recipe in Italian, but I don't understand everything. So yes. Help me please!
February 4, 200818 yr I need to think about a nice typical food.. I don't really like to cook... if I can think in something interesting I'll tell you :)
February 4, 200818 yr what kind of traditional songs? like song you sing at feasts (easter, christmas...) ?
February 4, 200818 yr Author I can help you with those Spätzle... tell me, what you don't understand! :) well, i have a recipe, but it's in italian so i don't understand some things - how to prepare it, which cooking machinery (:laugh4:) do you need etc. :( I need to think about a nice typical food.. I don't really like to cook... if I can think in something interesting I'll tell you :) likewise ... i'm not a good cook :D and just take your time, you don't need to hurry :) what kind of traditional songs? like song you sing at feasts (easter, christmas...) ? yeah, songs like that. it'd be great tho if they were about food!
February 4, 200818 yr okay... Well, I had a look in the Internet and for Spätzle (for 4 people) you need 500g flour 5 eggs 150-200 ml water salt You put all that stuff into a bowl and stir it, until it's a quite stringy dough... then you fill a big pot with water which you bring to a boil. Put some salt in the boiling water. Then you have to make the "Spätzle"... it works something like illustrated in this picture: When the "Spätzle" swim on the surface of the water, they're done... I think, it's pretty tough to get the Spätzle in shape, but good luck! :)
February 4, 200818 yr hmm okaj well the first song I thought of was "Hej tomtegubbar" ("Hi Jolly Gnomes" I think) it's not really about food, it's more about drinking but this is a very common swedish drinking song that is sung at the christmas dinner when you're gonna drink the schnapps ( think that's the right word) Hej, tomtegubbar, slån i glassen, och låt oss lustiga vara. En liten tid, vi leva här, med mycken möda och stort besvär. Hej, tomtegubbar, slån i glasen, och låt oss lustiga vara! in english Hi, tomtegubbar, fill your glasses and let's be jolly together. Our time is brief Upon the earth, with troubles many and little mirth. Hi, tomtegubbar, fill your glasses and let's be jolly together.

February 8, 200818 yr hello eglantine... i am the asian ambassador in this site (for a moment) so if u want any asian recipe just ask me! :D
February 8, 200818 yr Author hey Rudy ... :) I think i have enough asian recipes already... do you have any folk song from any asian country?
February 9, 200818 yr For something American, why not just make a nice apple pie (or blueberry?) for dessert or something? I can bug my mom for my grandma's recipe if you want. If you want something Canadian, there's always poutine... (French fries with gravy and cheese curds.) Ooh, or butter tarts. You should make butter tarts. :nice: Besides, desserts like that can be made the day before, saving time and kitchen space.
February 9, 200818 yr oohh...eglantine.. i also wanna ask some recipe... anyone have recipe of deep fried cheese balls??? the one that coated with bread crumbs...
February 9, 200818 yr Author Erin, I'll ask about adding a new dish to the menu and then i'll see ... if it's not going to be on the event, then i'll make it at home! :D

February 9, 200818 yr Stamppot boerenkool! Thats so dutch! 3 lbs potatoes 2 onions 1 bay leaf 1 lb kale 1 pinch salt 1 pinch ground pepper 1 lb smoked sausage 1/2 cup milk 2 tablespoons butter Peel and dice potatoes and onions. Clean, trim and slice kale. Add the potatoes, onion, kale, a bay leaf, a pinch of salt and just enough water to cover all in a 3 qrt pan. Cover and boil gently for about 25 minutes. Meanwhile steam the smoked sausage for the same amount of time and slice. Remove the bay leaf, drain the vegetables, and mash them. Add milk and butter. Stir in the hot, sliced smoked sausage, add salt and pepper to taste and serve. ( http://www.recipezaar.com/33269 ) Here you go!
