Note to fans about tracklisting

Featured Replies

In the digital age, even though the bands fight over the tracklisting, the tracks are going to be dissembled in someone's playlist anyway, which, even though this is a sad fact for the band, doesn't mean that they shouldn't give up on a tracklisting because there are some people out there (AKA: ME) that still listen to the physical album the first time you hear it, so, they are really fighting about it for us, and we should be grateful, not wondering what is taking so long.

i agree. tracklisting is important as it will be the album we play on repeat in our stereos when we are in our room or in the stereo in our car. it also defines the album. like prospekt said, he would want the best songs on the album, even if there were 8 rock songs and 1 ballad, while coldplay wants a more evenly mixed album. and chris martin stated there's still credibility in making great albums (or something like that). so let them argue about it until the best conclusion is reached. the album isnt coming out until june anyway.

I agree too, sure you can listen to seperate songs later but I dont believe an album is just a collection of random songs, it's a journey which flows through to the end.
