was wondering if anyone knew what uniform they are wearing in all of there photoshoots..

 

i was thinking it was obviously the spanish army uniform of the 1700s but cant seem to find a good picture etc of an original

 

(me and a freind want to buy some and wear it for the concert) hehe

I don't think it is really a dead on uniform of any one army. Probably just a creation of their own from different things they liked, but yeah it definitely has got to have some French things in it

Yeah, it's a bit of everything... very generalized and simplified military design. I love how they give the obvious "French Revolution" impression without really grounding it anywhere specific in time or place. What interview was it where Chris said the band designed the clothes themselves?

 

My mother (*Coughcoughhackcough*) has made me a bet, and while the terms of it are a little too embarrassing to post here, if I win she makes me all four of their outfits, plus whatever else they wear in future photoshoots that I find awesome.;)

Awesome. Do you have any good idea of the composition of the left sleeve? Because ALL of the promo shots have him from the right, and I can't figure it out.

Yes. The left sleeve has some writing in white on either a patch or a two-toned sleeve. Other than that, it is just a plain jacket sleeve. I am thinking that Chris might be adding additional accessories for each live performance or tour stop as well. If you look at the jacket from the MTV Movie Awards, he placed a random cut of fabric on his right shoulder.

I was looking at some of the new images from today, and it's definitely not a patch but a two-toned sleeve. That should be fun to replicate. :P

If you watch the video you can really see it towards the end when Chris goes down towards the audience. I think there is about 1min left in the song when you can really see it. My husband did tell me that I was probably the only one who recognized it ;)

Ok it is actually about 30 sec left when you can really see it. Can anyone teach me how to take a screen shot of a flash video? I may need to take the pic somewhere to have the shirt made.
