BT today revealed the nominations for the 2008 BT Digital Music Awards, with Kylie Minogue and Bloc Party leading the way with three nominations apiece.

 

Kylie goes up against Coldplay, Radiohead, Leona Lewis and British Sea Power for artist of the year, and is also nominated for best pop artist and best innovation for Kylie Konnect (kyliekonnect.com).

 

Bloc Party take on Coldplay, Ida Maria, Radiohead and The Futureheads for best rock/indie artist and are also up for best music community for Bloc Party Marshals (http://www.blocparty.com) and best artist promotion for the Intimacy album release campaign.

 

BT Consumer marketing director Matthew Dearden says, “Digital has established itself as a force to be reckoned within the music industry and the BT Digital Music Awards are reflecting this with one of our strongest, most exciting line up of nominees yet.”

 

The awards will be held at Camden’s Roundhouse on Wednesday October 1.
