Tough questions. I'm reading Ecclesiastes right now and I'm liking what it says, it has some deep things.

Exactly... at least for 10 year olds and under... who says we can't go with these words in our life, right? I mean, Hannah Montana, she's like freaking Oprah for kids... what she says goes. It's that simple. Of course she doesn't give her sold out audiences cars... but hey... :)

well, to me there has to be a meaning, because I don't believe the world exists because of nothing. The world is something, because it exists. If it didn't, there would be no meaning. I also believe that free will exists, as opposed to linear existence. Meaning doesn't necessarily arise from existence, but because there is matter and such, I believe there is a greater power. Depending on what people think about that greater power affects what they feel about meaning. Even a godless individual should believe that the human race is meant to protect its existence and discover more knowledge.

 

Why there has to be a meaning? Us people tend to classify things as "Good" "Bad" and "What should they be" but things just exists, apart from what we might thing of them, I mean, they just are.

 

And yes, like Hanna Montana said, ^^ ... I think whatever you believe in (if there's God or not) just make your life worth it, cause you are never sure if you might get one again. :D Wheter there's a meaning or not, nobody knows, there's probably none. Look for your very own.

In my opinion we live to die. I think we were created so we would die...in a way.

 

But that's weird and confusing and strange so here's another cliche statement. I don't think anyone is special. No one is special. Not even if they are a Saint. We're all equal and loving and caring. So, we mean nothing Nothing as in not a speck. /cliche but whatever.

 

So people should just live as if tomorrow's their last day.

There is no meaning or point or whatever other than to search for a meaning. God's getting his kicks from watching us scramble around looking for something that simply isn't going to be found.

There doesn't have to be a meaning. You're right about that. I mean, in order to live, we don't have to feel that way. But I mean that there must be meaning in the same way that in reality there is existence and function. Not that life has to be meaningful for the individual, but that it is necessitated by the function of existence.

I think God has a sense of humor. We wouldn't be half as bumbling if he didn't.
