its shocking

You're right, indeed it is.

And the other video there with the close-up of the girl is even more shocking.

which one ?

More than sad, it's outrageous. But don't think your government wouldn't do it any differently if you were out there protesting after an election. Some governments are based on a silly religion, others are based on silly documents that people pretend to take seriously. In the end, they're all the same.

I love this caption by the AFP:

In this image from television, which Hadi Ghaemi, Director of the New York-based International Campaign for Human Rights claims to be "very authentic and reliable" made available Sunday, June 21, 2009, a woman who was allegedly shot and killed collapses on the ground during clashes with security forces in Iran. This amateur video was posted on various Internet sites on Saturday, June 20, 2009, however, The Associated Press could not independently verify its content, its location, or the date it was shot, due to government restrictions on journalists.

According to the AP, she was "allegedly shot". Never mind that we've got footage of it and blood gushing from her chest. Also they call the Iranian police "security forces". Heh.

WTH?!?!

I also love how they remain skeptical because 'government restrictions on journalists' won't let them verify whether or not this amateur video is an authentic and reliable reflection on what the government is doing. facepalm anyone?

You know... I have a sudden urge to buy a hair straightener product online.
