This year's World Cup will be in Dubai from 16 - 22 November.

 

QUALIFIERS

 

European Zone

Portugal, Switzerland, Russia and hosts Spain became the first four European sides to book their places at the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 after qualifying for the semi-finals in Castellon, Spain between 7 and 14 June. Italy joined them as Europe's final representative headed to Dubai after a 4-2 victory over France, who won the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Rio de Janiero 2005.

North, Central American and Caribbean Zone

For a second successive time the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Qualifier CONCACAF will be held on the shores of picturesque Puerto Vallarta, Mexico between 17 and 21 June. Mexico, El Salvador and Canada battle it out in Group A, while USA, Costa Rica and Bahamas face off in Group B.

South American Zone

The qualifying tournament took place in Playa de Pocitos (Montevideo, Uruguay) between 11 and 15 March 2009. The mighty South American triumvirate, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay will represent their continent at the world's premier beach soccer event for a fifth straight year after finishing in the top three spots at the Estadio Arena del Plata.

Asian Zone

Details for Asia's qualifying tournament for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 will be announced in the near future.

 

African Zone

Africa's qualifiers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 will take place at the New Beach in Durban, South Africa from 1-5 July. Nine teams will take part: Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Mauritius, Libya, Morocco, Mozambique, Nigeria, and the host South Africans.

 

 

Oceanian Zone

Moorea in Tahiti is once again the venue for Oceania's qualifying event for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009. Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and the hosts go head to head in the event which takes place between 27 and 31 July.

 

Host Country

The host country qualifies automatically.

They won yesterday the first place in the CONCACAF Qualifiers!!!

 

See the funny thing is that they are sailors, they are so poor, they can barely buy the flights and everything they need at the tournaments... that's how our national soccer team should play, beacuse they love the game, not just because they're hoping to get a $10,000 reward each if they win!:dozey:
