Yeah I've spent the whole day making gingerbreads and a gingerbread house that didn't go oh so well. And there's light from every window in every house where they've put on stars or candlesticks. It's really pretty. I'm not sure you do that in your countries too?

I don't think so. It's the first day of the Christian churchyear and the first day (don't know the English word) of the time where you weren't allowed to eat for a very long time. I think. I'm not sure. But very, very, few think of this but celebrate it anyway. Even if they're not religious. Like me. :P
