Some people went through my iPod last night and they're like "Wow, you must really like Radiohead" and "I would go crazy if I only had a few artists like you do." (Because since it's a 2GB iPod when I put everything I have by an artist on it takes up a lot of the space so I can't have many on it.

I can't wait until I get enough for a classic. :heart:

i think once people understand the futility of life and take themselves less seriously and just try to concentrate on staying happy in themselves rather than trying to search for happiness through the validation of others, things become a lot easier. if you try and fit into what other people want you to be and worry what they will think you will always find something in yourself to change without being true to yourself. if you understand that your musical taste doesn't actually matter to people and that if you like a certain thing it really doesn't matter as it's an opinion of an artistic concept which bares nothing into the sort of person you are and doesn't make you a better or worse person then things become easier to accept and show in front of others. it doesn't matter if people don't like your music, because you do and you get what you get from it.

Okay, I feel like shuffling my iPod, recording the first 30 song and seeing how much variety of artists I get doing it.

Yeah, I've been thinking that and trying to get that into my brain but it hasn't really sunk in yet.

I mean, it's my music, I love it. Everyone else has their music they love. If everyone liked the same music maybe there wouldn't even be very many music artists, or music genres or something and no originality I suppose.

But I've accepted the fact that I won't fit in and all that, because I never will. :P

I never have to think about that so much, because I've never met anyone here, irl, at my age, who listens to the same music as me. They're all into rap and hiphop and r'n'b and such.

Some of that music actually isn't that bad, there's good artists in every genre you just have to be open to listening to them. It bothers me when people are like "I like all music except rap and country", because THEY'RE LYING. There's more genres they don't like and they may even like some of that. :bomb:

Somebody told me they liked pop music one day and I was like "What kind of pop music do you mean? Twee pop, dream pop, folk-pop...." I kinda went on listing types of pop and they're like "I like pop music :dunce:" and looked at me like I was crazy. They most likely meant the Lady Gaga etc. kind of music.

I was having a conversation with someone about screamo music the other day, they asked me if I liked it and told me what screamo artists they liked and such. It was actually an interesting conversation. I like when people talk to me about music, even if it's music I don't like such as "screamo".

The people I was talking about only listen to the shit that plays on the radio, the mainstream music that's only made for the purpose of making money. Like Lady Gaga and such. AND I KNOW SHE'S NOT HIPHOP OR RAP but meh.
