Why do I always end up listening to Skillet when I have a migraine? I find that rather amusing and ironic. :P

I mean, headbanger music and migraines just don't seem compatible haha.

Good evening, Cresty

I hope that your migraine soon disappears again.

Today my neighbour and I saw the Oscar-winning movie The King's Speech - it was very good and moving.

It is about Queen Elizabeth's father King George VI whose elder brother Edward VIII abdicated to marry twice divorced Wallis Simpson. George had a large problem being a stammer. He was naturally left-handed, but was forced to use his right hand instead. Being a stammer he had great trouble speaking - and as a king he had to hold some public speeches. But he got a very good speech therapist. In the movie we follow the development from the first meeting between the later king George VI and his speech therapist. It was a very moving and at times funny movie. I can recommend it.

It was good. The speech therapist received the Victoria Order - an order awarded in acknowledgement of personal services rendered to the King.

In the later King VI's first speech (he was then Duke of York) he started with 2 minutes of silence then he stammered through the first sentence - that took him another minute. A complete disaster. Then his wife - the later Queen Mother Elizabeth - decided that a speech therapist was the solution for her husband and she insisted that he went to see a speech therapist she had found in an advertisement in a paper. Before that the Duke of York (as he was then) had seen all sort of doctors and specialists - but there was no improvement - he continued to stammer - until the speech therapist was found - and it even turned out that this man did not have any exams - he was an Australian actor with great linguistic skills who had helped many soldiers who had come back from war with linguistic problems after having experienced shell shocks.

A special friendship arose little by little - but it took some time to get that far.

Is it on DVD yet?[/color]

yay jello!

I doubt that it is on DVD already. The movie is relatively new - it was the first day it was shown in Denmark. It was reviewed well everywhere.

I overslept this morning and missed computer science, then I rushed to make it to physics on time, forgetting that it had been canceled for today :|

We're doing about Terrorism at the moment for our coursework ...

and I think the exam was on Nazi Germany and I can't remember any of the names apart from Goebels which I remembered from when I watched inglorious basterds ... the ending to that film is just awful

I had to cover my eyes during most of Inglourious Basterds because it was way too gory and violent D:

Chickens :awesome:

I loved that movie and i wanted to see more blood
