What if your post count gets reset when you get to 100,000? Would you just stop posting before you get there?

I have no idea. Because eventually I would have to get to 100,000

If you keep on posting until you're 60, you'll probably reach a million.

So do you care more for talking to people on the boards or about how high your post count is?
