Well ... it's a little more complicated than that. We have different kinds of courses: The lectures are pretty big and end with an exam about all the discussed stuff. The seminars are normally much smaller and you have to do an presentation about a specific topic in the context of the seminar and then write an essay about your topic.

That's interesting...

Today we learned about the study abroad program, and I want to do that so bad. :wacky: I don't know what country I'd go to though. :P

Yay! That's awesome! You should definitely try to do it. I've done it myself.

Does your college have certain "affiliated" colleges you can go to? Or is it completely up to you?

Might be too expensive. :P

Yes, I think it's just affiliated colleges.

Don't you have certain grants for that?

There's this program in Europe called ERASMUS, that's where I got some money from for studying in Spain.

I'm not sure, but I think the lady said that our tuition grants could cover it. And I think the provider has grants too... it's confusing. :P

Do you want to do it? :cheesy: You could come to Europe.

I would like to. And I would go to Europe. :wacky:

Yay! Europe is awesome. :wacky: So many wonderful cities and places ...

It would be hard to decide which country to go to. :P But right now I'm thinking England.

But you already speak English. You could go to Spain and improve your Spanish. :wacky:

Well ... but England is really awesome, I understand you oh too well.

Yeah, that's why I'm not sure if I should go there, because I'd like to learn a new language.

French and German are great too. :wacky:

I would probably go with Germany, because I've heard that the French are rude. :P My mom went to France when I was 8 or 9.

Hmm, I don't know ... I didn't notice anything rude about the French people, but I wasn't there for too long.

If you come to Germany, you should be prepared to hear the worst accent ever.

I went to school for 4 years with a boy who had a German accent, even though he's lived in America his whole life and can't really speak German. :dozey: So I know how it sounds. :P

I would probably speak German in a very annoying Texas accent.

Hey there nick. :nice:

Yay, my earphones still work if I hold the wire a certain way. :wacky:

Ze Tschermen accent is owsomm. :wacky:

I was just talking about that girl from Texas ... I didn't mean to generalise, I think it was more her rather arrogant way that made her accent sound annoying.

But you know I have teachers from America and from England and they still haven't lost their accent after living in Germany for more than 20 years.

Nick! :cheesy:

Lol. Did she try to speak with a Spanish accent at all?

If I learn a new language, I'm going to keep my American accent. :smug: :P

It must be hard to lose your accent. I've never heard any foreigner speak with an American accent in English, even if they've lived here for years...

Well ... I think she tried. I guess there are simply too many new sounds in Spanish, like the "j" and the "r".

I'm trying to get rid of my German accent. I can pronounce the "th". :laugh3: I don't say "vat ze fuck", I actually say "what the fuck".

Well, I have some students in my classes who actually speak with a really British accent ... but I can't really say, if they've lost their German accent completely.

hey girls :nice:

i read you want to go to england kels....

DONT DO IT :dizzy: that is the most confusing place ever

Aww, did the English people confuse you, Nick?

Did she not know how to pronounce J in Spanish?

I think it's weird how it's hard for people to pronounce "th." :P

England is confusing, Nick. It has like 5 different names. :dizzy:

No, she couldn't. She said Tehas and not TeJJJJas.

Well, the th simply doesn't exist in German, so why should we know how to pronounce it. :D
