No puedo hablar, pero puedo escribir la lengua ... siempre era difícil hablar con los españoles y especialmente los andaluces, tienen un dialecto horrible.

Sorry, I'll stop now. :p How was your test?

I can't write in Spanish either. :P But I can kind of understand it.

I didn't have a test. I just had that history one yesterday. :nice:

What's andaluces, by the way?

Didn't you say you had a test? Is my brain disappearing?

Los andaluces are the inhabitants of Andalusia, it's a beautiful region in the south of Spain. That's where I lived. :wacky:

I was talking about a test I had taken yesterday. :P I said I had a math class.

Oh, okay. :nice: Why was their dialect horrible?

Okay ... so my brain was really taking a break.

Well, they leave out every "s" in front of a consonant and at the end of the word. You couldn't tell singular from plural ...

"Me gusta España" sounded like "Me gutta Epaña" and "Qué estudias?" like "Quetudia?" and lots of other weird things ... it was kinda hard to understand at first.

That's strange.

I also can't hear Spanish and understand it, I can only read it. :P I can't write/speak it very well because I forgot how the grammar works. :dozey:

Well, it was hard at first, because the Spanish people talk really fast, but you're getting used to it once you spent some time there. :nice:

The grammar is pretty hard for me ... I hate all those tiempos del pasado and the subjuntivo.

Yes, they do talk too fast. But even when my spanish teacher said something really slow in Spanish, I couldn't understand it.

Hello Imke and Ceolsige :)

Hi! I'm Kelsie. :nice:

Hi Anita!

Kels, it's all about getting used to it ... you could try to listen to some Spanish music. :P

I can hardly understand a lot of American singers, much less someone singing in a foreign language.

But I guess you listen to a lot of non-German music, don't you?

I only listen to songs sung in English ... I had some Spanish music too, but I'm just not into it at the moment.

I don't think I have a single German song in my iTunes library.

Because you've posted here before. :cheesy:

I can see why you don't listen to German music, since ya'll have Tokio Hotel. :P

I don't listen to much American music.

A few years ago Tokio Hotel came and the teenies went nuts ... I used to think it would go away ... but now they're all over the world and everyone keeps associating Germany with Tokio Hotel. :bigcry:

I hadn't really heard much about them...

Have you always listened to English music? :P

.... until Ren made you marry one of them. :P

I guess so ... I had a few German songs a while back.

But my musical taste changed a lot when I started listening to Coldplay ... before that I was listening to ... no I can't tell you.

Hah, I'd heard of them before, but I've never heard their music or anything. I didn't know what they looked like either, until Ren started posting the pictures everywhere. :dead:

Oh, I wouldn't tell you what I listened to before Coldplay either. :P

I had to see them on TV and in the newspapers everyday for a couple of years. :bigcry:

It's almost like a childhood trauma, only that it is an adulthood trauma.

Hit me baby one more time! :uhoh:
