Here's Why They Can't Plug That Gulf Oil Leak

Featured Replies

what annoys me outside of the lack of fixing the problem from the oil companies is how little the press are hounding obama about this. For Bush with Katrina they blamed so much on him regardless if katrina was a state issue primarily, and also that Bush visited the disaster site 2 days after. Obama on the other hand gets barely any flack from the media at all regardless of the fact that this is a federal (not state issue), and also how he waited 12 days to visit the site.

I'm not saying I'm a Bush supporter (because I think he was a terrible president), but I think that it's unfair for the media to tear apart one party and leave the other one alone. make both parties accountable.

Well I think in both cases the implication is that the government can help. It clearly can't, whether it be a hurricane or an oil spill.

We need to ditch this superstition that George Bush or Barack Obama can roll up their sleeves, and get things done:

It's all an act!

And I like the ideas, keep them coming. I think BP could build a massive cone to plant over the pipe area, with a heated-coil to keep the interior from freezing... also why aren't the other oil companies helping out? It's odd to me this hasn't been discussed.

Are there cheap and efficient ways to separate the oil from the oceanwater without polluting? Those guys who were fisherman before the spill, could collect the oil and sell it back to BP!
