Social Distortion

Featured Replies

Just wanted to recommend one of my favorite albums - Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell. Honestly, I'd recommend any Social D album. They are both catchy and raw, which is a rare combination indeed. They are a blend of Johnny Cash Country, Punk, Rockabilly, and a touch of alternative. I love them.

^ Thank you. Yes, Cold Feelings is a good representation of SBHAH. Again, I suggest you all check out the album, especially if you like accessible sounding punk or fist pumping Rock N' Roll.

Social D is awesome! I saw them on jimmy kimmel last night, and they were sooo good!

Social D IS amazing. People need to check them out. Some of the most authentic music out there. People always complain about over-processed crap music. Well, go listen to Social D - that's the real deal.

It may not fly well on a Coldplay board, but they are one of the best punk/rockabilly bands ever. Mike Ness is a bad man.

they have a new album out

yes, yes they do! Their stuff is always great. I wish I could convince people to listen to them for something different.

^ I've seen that interview before. Mike Ness is a legend. I thought their last album, Sex, Love and Rock & Roll, was stellar. I hope this new album lives up to it. All Social D albums tell a story, and they sound so authentic. Mike's lived a true punk rock lifestyle.

^ Social Distortion is a revolving line up with the exception of Mike Ness. He always gets good musicians, though. The fat drummer (his name is David Hidalgo, Jr) is holding it down. He is also the son of David Hidalgo from Los Lobos.

The new song sounds good. And what more can you say about Story of My Life? It's a classic.
