I CAN WHISTLE IN BUT I CAN'T WHISTLE OUT.

Anyways, messageboards actually seem like good places to find people, just look at how many coldplayers have gotten together! :surprised:

I guess it's the way you get to know people.

I'm not sure if doing it based strictly on music taste would be of any use.

there are positives and negatives

it leans towards less of a physical attraction which can penetrate much deeper, on the other hand you can't know them totally until you meet. but i much prefer (i say this as though i make a habit of it - it's only happened once and it was by accident) messageboard deep connection to getting drunk and meeting a girl on a night out. the latter leads to sex but the former has far greater benefits.

i think it's an ok place to start. if it has a wide membership then there's something definite you have in common and if the person you meet could be anybody then it could be someone who likes the same music. at least there's something there at the start, once again not totally focused on physical attributes

I think that's part of the reason I really liked it, actually. I don't normally read books like that, and to be exposed to writing like that was, in a twisted way, intriguing. I remember feeling both repulsed and fascinated when I first read it.

I get where you're coming from as I don't tend to read books that are that graphic either but couldn't put American Physco down, I've been meaning to read some of his other work but I've never gotten around to it.

physical attributes kill relationships basically

In a way, and in a way they save them.

physical attributes kill relationships basically

not at all because it is the deeper things that hurt

you love a person from the inside out, which is why most people can't understand their love

they can work. live for the meetups, and eventually you can work something permanent out. it requires a little upheaval but if it's the right person it's obviously worth it.

the only person i ever loved i met on a messageboard (and i've had about a dozen girlfriends i didn't meet that way and she was the only person i've ever met from the internet) and if it means that much you can make it happen, providing you are of a certain age which grants you enough control and finance.

That's the problem though. He's the most amazing guy I've ever met, and we're always talking to each other...but I'm 15. My parents are already mad enough that I gave out my phone number online.

Haha, I tried convincing him to drive here once. He's 16. :wacky:

Not really. I hate the way I look, but the guy I'm into loves it. It confuses me, he got abs yo :sweatdrop:

where in the world can 16 year olds drive?

patronise alert - i don't blame your parents that much. i met my ex online and i was a 20 year old guy and that was a big deal, so a 15 year old girl won't get too much leverage from her parents. also when i was 15 i was suicidal because i was surrounded by idiots, i just hadn't met the right people. you have many people to meet and many situations to encounter. enjoy this ride but be ready for the pitfalls. if you did meet him the likelihood would be that it would be good but the start of a longer story, the majority of it not involving him and instead involving other people you went on to meet and fall for.

same here

it's really good when you spend all your single life hating your body and then someone comes along and appreciates it. makes you confident in yourself. i think i've well and truly lost all that for the time being but it will no doubt return

^aw lol

I don't blame them either. I'm just young and naive, right? :uhoh2:
