Steve really seems to like CP... he was seen at one of the concerts.

Lu'kaa
Nice, thank you !!! I'm a huge fan of 2 things, particularly these days : Coldplay, and the Apple products. Amazing to see them together  And I have currently to work on a creative software too -but for movies, like Final Cut- and it is very inspiring to see that the band and their crew sometimes have the same kind of work ! :) Steve really seems to like CP... he was seen at one of the concerts. Are you kidding me ?

Lu'kaa
Wow, thanks. Do you know who wrote that ? It can't be Roadie 42, I would remember this :shocked2: I saw some little little things between Coldplay and Apple. I don't remember where, but on a page of the Apple site promoting the iPod Touch you can see one playing the video of Lovers in Japan. An other thing : in the 2007 keynote, where Jobs revealed the first iPhone to the world, he made a demo of the Cover Flow and I clearly saw the Parachutes cover. Oh, and, of course : [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3mYc1m3lsM]YouTube- Coldplay - Apple iTunes Viva La Vida[/ame] All this isn't really amazing, but if didn't tell it here, then... where ? (Oh and thanks, you made me think of a good signature :P)
Nopix
hehe.... it IS amazing :D :D for us CP and Apple addicts :D anyway, you are so right! They even play Coldplay often before the keynotes...and the 2007 keynote, as you said... and it's all over their website! Which article do you mean now? The ona on the apple-site or the macrumors.com one? Or soething different? :) I have a summer job at one of my local Apple Retail (Premium Reseller) Stores... and one day this guy came in. He wanted to buy speakers for his iPod touch in the range of 100€-200€... I showed his a few and he wanted to try them out... he played Yellow!!!! then Don't Panic and Lost! I was just like: :stunned: , since you don't really see many CP fans over here.... We started talking about CP and I managed to sell him nice Bowers&Wilkins for over 600€ :laugh3: It was like the most epic Coldplay-Apple experience I ever had :D :D :D Oh and I love ^that^ ad! And when I'm gonna be lazy now I'll remember that interview of Markus and that I should emulate Coldplay and work my ass off !!!

That's a kind of a little dream I have :D Maybe one day, who knows ! There are plenty of job offers on the website ! The closest Apple Store is like a few hundreds kilometers away from here :( We have these Apple Premium Reseller Stores...which are like small versions of Apple Stores in my area... in malls mostly... Im currently summer-working there... it looks like this: http://www.eurovea.com/sk/prevadzky/mzone-apple-premium-reseller EDIT: english version: http://www.eurovea.com/en/shops/mzone-apple-premium-reseller :D :D :D And...I like it! Its so much fun! :) Have you ever tried to work in an Apple Store? Actually I'm editing a movie, and the software looks sometimes really like the software they use or like this picture from R42's blog : Especially when I'm mixing the sound of the film, and all that stuff... Wow that's awesome! I was always so much into movies! What genre is it? Did you also shoot it? Good luck in your project! :) And when I'm gonna be lazy now I'll remember that interview of Markus and that I should emulate Coldplay and work my ass off !!! Good idea! Thanks! Gonna use that too! Lu'kaa
Wait a minute. Love Coldplay, love Apple, lazy, into movies... What the fuck is this, are we clones ? :laugh3: ts just a macrumors article... no R#42 involved... Well actually I just found it :shocked2: http://www.coldplay.com/newsdetail.php?id=442 Unbelievable, how comes I don't remember the Steve Jobs thing ? It is even in the title ! And I do remember the picture... In France we used to have the same problem. The only Apple Store in the country was in a "little town", in the very south. But, surprise ! 2 giant and amazing Apple Stores opened in Paris in less than a year. Anyway, your store looks pretty cool. I bought my MacBook in one of these in Paris because as I said there wasn't any Apple Store. You're very lucky to work there... The only summer job I got this year was in a fucking boring factory :( No, I didn't try to work in an Apple Store, I just read the job offers :D They always ask : -To be good in selling things, having a commercial degree, or something... -To love Apple and to have "Apple's spirit", and to know how to translate the little technical things in "normal words" for the clients. Too bad I ain't got the first because like any fan I have the "Apple spirit" and I do the translation thing every day with my family :laugh3: Maybe one day I'm gonna try, if I ain't got anything else... Wow that's awesome! I was always so much into movies! What genre is it? Did you also shoot it? Good luck in your project! :) Thanks ! I'm studying movies and all that stuff in the university so this was a personal project of a very good friend of mine, and yeah we shot it last month with a few friends. He was directing and I was a kind of a second director... And he hasn't got a MacBook, a good hardware and the good software, so I'm the one who's editing it... thanks to Apple one more time  It is a short film, about two detectives investigating on a weird thing. So it has got fantasy, comedy, it is a bit scary -I hope !-... And if our dreams lead anywhere it could be the pilot of a little series. :) Thanks for asking ! The only Apple Store in the country was in a "little town", in the very south. But, surprise ! 2 giant and amazing Apple Stores opened in Paris in less than a year. Oh yea! I've discovered the Opéra Store like 2 weeks ago...and it looks so freakin amazing! :shocked2: Its so unbelievably beautiful... would like to visit so much! The Louvre one looks cool too, I prefer the unique Opéra though. Is it located right in the building or somewhere close? Anyway, your store looks pretty cool. Lu'kaa
:laugh3: looks so :D :D What else are you into? :) Good question  Making movies with Apple products and listening to Coldplay sums up my life pretty well. :laugh3: I would say TV series... What about you ? I gotta check out all the old R#42's blogs. ^OMG I think I messed up the tenses :D Good luck ! It took me 2 days :P But it's definitely worth it ! Are you talking about the english tenses ? If you are don't worry, I perfectly understood... And my english isn't really a good example either ;) Oh yea! I agree, it looks amazing... But I don't really know because I haven't been to Paris since it opened, I'm in holidays for the whole summer ! I can't wait to see it, because it looks really like a "real" Parisian Apple Store, with the "Parisian spirit", you know what I mean ? The one in the Louvre could be anywhere in the planet, but the one next to the Opera plays with the personality of the building where it has been built. Well, have you ever been to Paris and to The Louvre ? Because it's... ambiguous :D There is a well known Pyramid in front of The Louvre : http://www.freemages.fr/album/paris/louvre_pyramide.jpg A few meters next to that Pyramid, there is a commercial gallery, called Carrousel du Louvre : http://www.autogrill.fr/media/carrousel-du-louvre-248-1.jpg So, it is part of the building, but it is in the underground. You can go to museum directly from there, and the entrance of the museum is just in front of the Apple Store, in a huge underground hall, where there also is the "Inverted Pyramid" : http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs076.snc3/14338_1229658175383_1046942398_30759702_2179546_n.jpg http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs076.snc3/14338_1229648455140_1046942398_30759686_7776162_n.jpg I hope my explanation was understandable :) Thanks! :) I think I was lucky too... since i'm just 15 :smug: yeah I am :D I asked them about job offers, then wrote a CV, was invited to an interview and... voilá- I'm there workin the next day ;) Commercial degree? No way.... thats too much! I do have experience selling stuff thanks to "Community and Service" program we have on my school... I was selling at/organized several Book Fairs and fundraisings... maybe that helped me a lot... You should go for it! Its definitely worth a try! And you are 15 ! That's very cool, I don't know if it is the same in Slovakia, but here in France for people under 18 it is very hard to find a job. Most times it isn't legal. And under 16, it is impossible ! But yeah, experience, hard work and maybe a bit of luck and there you are. Very, very cool... Is the job hard ? Do you manage to sell many many things, or is it infrequent ? OK, well if you say so I'm gonna try  But after my studies, and if I'm unemployed :) Because that's definitely not my career, even if I would love it. Sounds so exciting! I would truly love to do this one time!! You must be really creative.. I would like to see the movie when its finished... are you going to release it on the internet? :) I hope it goes well for you :) What year are you in the university? Thanks ! I'm gonna begin the third year next month ! Yes, it is exciting ! It still looks like amateur stuff, we still have many things to learn, but I think we are clearly making progress. Our movie probably not gonna be finished before a few weeks, but yeah we want to release it on the internet. If you want too I'll make sure you see it !! Thanks ! :D I just have to remember to put english subtitles !!! I'm just a little bit creative ! Usually I let the others be creative, have ideas, and I help them developing and doing their movie, from beginning to end. If you want to you can do it too ! Write a few pages of script -or not !-, use anything that makes videos, even a cellphone... and there you go ! :) (Actually, the last iPhone is really awesome to make videos !) Nopix
Good question  Making movies with Apple products and listening to Coldplay sums up my life pretty well. :laugh3: I would say TV series... Are you talking about the english tenses ? If you are don't worry, I perfectly understood... Exactly! Thats why I like it.... it looks so amazing and unique! Is this store located right in the neo-baroque of Paris Opéra, or somewhere close? Since it looks like that. We used to have one Apple Reseller Store in a historical building (far smaller and far not that wonderful and Paris Opéra Store) and the feel of it was just amazing! I can't imagine then, how awesome the Paris store must be! The problem with the store was that the 90% of potential customers were tourists, which can buy Apple products for lower prices in their countries. So it bankrupted... we Slovaks are weird.. when we go hand out, we dont usually go to the downtown (historical centre) but to shopping malls... which are not situated on the corners of the city as elsewhere in the world, but like right next to the downtown this is a recent one (where my Apple Store is located)...you can see how close to the downtown and the river it is: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4039/4487546867_aa50b2d406_o.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4065/4542994801_8afc97ed0c_b.jpg http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/8959/unbenannt2mu.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4051/4488199406_58a1060aef_o.jpg Well, have you ever been to Paris and to The Louvre ? The closest I've been to is Geneva. Louvre looks really wonderful and HUGE! Cant wait to see Louvre, the Opéra, Champs-Élysées, the Eiffel Tower and Versailles... Do I get it right ...it there sort of a small shopping centre right under the pyramid :stunned:?? And the store located right next to the reverse pyramid: WOW. Do you enter the Louvre Gallery itself via the Pyramid? :stunned:?? And you are 15 ! That's very cool, I don't know if it is the same in Slovakia, but here in France for people under 18 it is very hard to find a job. Most times it isn't legal. And under 16, it is impossible ! Well, I'm turning 16 soon...thats why they could take me... And its a summer job, not a real job... It is relatively time demanding, but so much fun... really communicative, and I use that, as you said "Apple spirit" really often. Its really frequent during weekends and rainy days... we manage to sell like 5 macs daily on average :D but the most money is made of iPods, speakers and accessories... It earns really huge loads of money! Do not ruin your movie career for Apple! ;) :P Thanks ! I'm gonna begin the third year next month ! Yes, it is exciting ! I can manage to make a great team of amateur actors, find good places to shoot in...but the thing is story- i'm not that good at thinking of good stories... I would enjoy the process of making the movie very much though! :) It's hard to say...at this age  I think I incline to law - I'm really interested by history and psychology...but who knows? :) What are you going to you after your studies? :)
Lu'kaa
About the same :D Except for watching movies not making :D TV series? I can't get enough of House MD, and Closer :) Too bad, I don't watch them ! I don't really like House and don't know Closer, I never watched it ! I'm more into Lost, Friends, The West Wing... and before being a huge, huge Coldplay fan I was a huge, huge fan of a french TV series. But you seem like me to like travels !!! Exactly! Thats why I like it.... it looks so amazing and unique! Is this store located right in the neo-baroque of Paris Opéra, or somewhere close? Since it looks like that. Well of course it isn't in the Opera building but yeah it's very close, just a few streets from it. It seems like it was built in an old bank or something, and a part of the store is into the vault :P I reaaaally can't wait to go there ! And talking about Paris : I haven't been to Paris yet, but plan to go there the next spring! :stunned:?? The museum IS huge !! Like Roadie 42's blog, you can't see everything in one day ! But personally, I visited it last year and I stayed only 2 hours... I looked at the most famous things, like la Joconde, la Vénus de Milo, and... of course... ;) http://lewebpedagogique.com/sosphilo/files/2009/02/delacroix-la_liberte_guidant_le_peuple.jpg  Yeah you're right! Well under the Pyramid, there is a big, big hall. That big hall is the entrance of the museum - I think you can't go in it from anywhere else. And right next to that hall, is the second hall with the reverse pyramid and the Apple Store. And after that you have all the small shopping centre. You don't have to pay anything to go under the pyramid, or to the reverse pyramid... And I think the museum is free for anybody under 25. So great you're coming to Paris ! I hope you'll enjoy it !! It is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. :wideeyed: And you work in that shopping centre, well that's not bad  Its really frequent during weekends and rainy days... we manage to sell like 5 macs daily on average :D but the most money is made of iPods, speakers and accessories... It earns really huge loads of money! I see. And the Apple products are really expensive, so maybe that's another reason why accessories and iPods are the most successfull ? Anyway, you must know what the best accessories are !!! Any tips ? I'm so sorry to remind you your work, but I have to try () : I'm searching something that could help me fix my iPhone horizontally on a tripod, to make photos and videos. Do you know anything, by any chance, that coul help me ? But maybe your store isn't really about iPhone ? Good luck in your studies! I would definitely like to see it! :) Send me a PM then :) I actually tried! I can manage to make a great team of amateur actors, find good places to shoot in...but the thing is story- i'm not that good at thinking of good stories... OK for the PM ! :D I have the same problem with stories... I know how to write them correctly on paper -I mean how to have a good narrative structure, how to have good dialogues, etc.- but I don't have any ideas. Luckily, I found that friend who's got ideas, but who doesn't know how to write them correctly on paper !!! Yeah you've still got time but law is cool ! Very hard I think, but very intersting... and impressive ! What are you going to you after your studies? :) I have noooooo idea ! I know I would like to be a director assistant but I don't know how to become one yet. Wow! I didn't know Liberty Leading People was there.... I MUST gothere :D :D I love the idea of pyramids! So there is one regular and one inverse? We've got one inverse pyramid in Bratislava too...although its crappy.. its a building of one radio station: So this what Bratislava looks like ? It is gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. :wideeyed: And you work in that shopping centre, well that's not bad  I'm glad you like it! Here are some more landmarks... My favourite is the "UFO" bridge (first and second link)... There's a restaurant in the "UFO"... http://www.slovakia.travel/data/Resources/Upload/Images/KulturneAtrakcie/MestskePamiatkoveRezervacie/Lac_Bratislava.jpg I see. You're right, we dont sell iPhones but we sell tons accessories for them... you can buy iPhones from carriers... Here is what you need: http://www.thoughtout.biz/node/41 :) Well... 6 macs a day isnt that bad for such a small store... in a 500 000 city.. there are 6 stores like this... it adds up pretty nicely Thanks ! Yes...that's what I would need....somebody to give me cool ideas  Yeah still have lots of time ;) but im in the IB (there are IB schools in Paris: ibo.org) so...i need to know at leas area in which i will work to choose my subjects well for the two last years of school :) I have noooooo idea ! I know I would like to be a director assistant but I don't know how to become one yet. Good luck! Can't wait to see your movie :)
