Amazing to see them together :dance: And I have currently to work on a creative software too -but for movies, like Final Cut- and it is very inspiring to see that the band and their crew sometimes have the same kind of work ! :)

I saw some little little things between Coldplay and Apple. I don't remember where, but on a page of the Apple site promoting the iPod Touch you can see one playing the video of Lovers in Japan. An other thing : in the 2007 keynote, where Jobs revealed the first iPhone to the world, he made a demo of the Cover Flow and I clearly saw the Parachutes cover. Oh, and, of course :

I have a summer job at one of my local Apple Retail (Premium Reseller) Stores... and one day this guy came in. He wanted to buy speakers for his iPod touch in the range of 100€-200€... I showed his a few and he wanted to try them out... he played Yellow!!!! then Don't Panic and Lost!

I was just like: :stunned: , since you don't really see many CP fans over here.... We started talking about CP and I managed to sell him nice Bowers&Wilkins for over 600€ :laugh3:

 

It was like the most epic Coldplay-Apple experience I ever had :D :D :D

In France we used to have the same problem. The only Apple Store in the country was in a "little town", in the very south. But, surprise ! 2 giant and amazing Apple Stores opened in Paris in less than a year.

Anyway, your store looks pretty cool. I bought my MacBook in one of these in Paris because as I said there wasn't any Apple Store. You're very lucky to work there... The only summer job I got this year was in a fucking boring factory :(

No, I didn't try to work in an Apple Store, I just read the job offers :D They always ask :

-To be good in selling things, having a commercial degree, or something...

-To love Apple and to have "Apple's spirit", and to know how to translate the little technical things in "normal words" for the clients.

Too bad I ain't got the first because like any fan I have the "Apple spirit" and I do the translation thing every day with my family :laugh3: Maybe one day I'm gonna try, if I ain't got anything else...

I'm studying movies and all that stuff in the university so this was a personal project of a very good friend of mine, and yeah we shot it last month with a few friends. He was directing and I was a kind of a second director... And he hasn't got a MacBook, a good hardware and the good software, so I'm the one who's editing it... thanks to Apple one more time :lol:

It is a short film, about two detectives investigating on a weird thing. So it has got fantasy, comedy, it is a bit scary -I hope !-... And if our dreams lead anywhere it could be the pilot of a little series. :)

Commercial degree? No way.... thats too much! I do have experience selling stuff thanks to "Community and Service" program we have on my school... I was selling at/organized several Book Fairs and fundraisings... maybe that helped me a lot...

I can't wait to see it, because it looks really like a "real" Parisian Apple Store, with the "Parisian spirit", you know what I mean ? The one in the Louvre could be anywhere in the planet, but the one next to the Opera plays with the personality of the building where it has been built.

And under 16, it is impossible ! But yeah, experience, hard work and maybe a bit of luck and there you are. Very, very cool... Is the job hard ? Do you manage to sell many many things, or is it infrequent ?

Yes, it is exciting ! It still looks like amateur stuff, we still have many things to learn, but I think we are clearly making progress.

Our movie probably not gonna be finished before a few weeks, but yeah we want to release it on the internet. If you want too I'll make sure you see it !! Thanks ! :D I just have to remember to put english subtitles !!! :lol:

I'm just a little bit creative ! Usually I let the others be creative, have ideas, and I help them developing and doing their movie, from beginning to end.

If you want to you can do it too ! Write a few pages of script -or not !-, use anything that makes videos, even a cellphone... and there you go ! :) (Actually, the last iPhone is really awesome to make videos !)

Do you already know what you wanna do in the future ? What kind of studies, of profession ?

We used to have one Apple Reseller Store in a historical building (far smaller and far not that wonderful and Paris Opéra Store) and the feel of it was just amazing! I can't imagine then, how awesome the Paris store must be!

The problem with the store was that the 90% of potential customers were tourists, which can buy Apple products for lower prices in their countries. So it bankrupted... we Slovaks are weird.. when we go hand out, we dont usually go to the downtown (historical centre) but to shopping malls... which are not situated on the corners of the city as elsewhere in the world, but like right next to the downtown

Well, I'm turning 16 soon...thats why they could take me... And its a summer job, not a real job... It is relatively time demanding, but so much fun... really communicative, and I use that, as you said "Apple spirit" really often. Its really frequent during weekends and rainy days... we manage to sell like 5 macs daily on average :D but the most money is made of iPods, speakers and accessories... It earns really huge loads of money!

Do not ruin your movie career for Apple! ;) :P

The museum IS huge !! Like Roadie 42's blog, you can't see everything in one day ! :lol: But personally, I visited it last year and I stayed only 2 hours... I looked at the most famous things, like la Joconde, la Vénus de Milo, and... of course... ;)

Yeah you're right! Well under the Pyramid, there is a big, big hall. That big hall is the entrance of the museum - I think you can't go in it from anywhere else. And right next to that hall, is the second hall with the reverse pyramid and the Apple Store. And after that you have all the small shopping centre. You don't have to pay anything to go under the pyramid, or to the reverse pyramid... And I think the museum is free for anybody under 25.

I have the same problem with stories... I know how to write them correctly on paper -I mean how to have a good narrative structure, how to have good dialogues, etc.- but I don't have any ideas. Luckily, I found that friend who's got ideas, but who doesn't know how to write them correctly on paper !!!

The museum IS huge !! Like Roadie 42's blog, you can't see everything in one day ! :lol: But personally, I visited it last year and I stayed only 2 hours... I looked at the most famous things, like la Joconde, la Vénus de Milo, and... of course... ;)

Yeah you're right! Well under the Pyramid, there is a big, big hall. That big hall is the entrance of the museum - I think you can't go in it from anywhere else. And right next to that hall, is the second hall with the reverse pyramid and the Apple Store. And after that you have all the small shopping centre. You don't have to pay anything to go under the pyramid, or to the reverse pyramid... And I think the museum is free for anybody under 25.

I have the same problem with stories... I know how to write them correctly on paper -I mean how to have a good narrative structure, how to have good dialogues, etc.- but I don't have any ideas. Luckily, I found that friend who's got ideas, but who doesn't know how to write them correctly on paper !!!
