George Martin

Featured Replies

I'm surprised we don't have a thread for him already. Sometimes known as the 5th Beatle, Martin really helped with the bands creative process and orchestral work.

From what I understand (having not lived throught the 60s myself ;)), George Martin was vitally important to the Beatle's development. All of my friends who are hardcore Beatle fans look at him with almost the same amount of reverence usually reserved only for the band.

Yeah definitely. I mean I didn't live through the 60's (not even close...haha), but I consider him super important not just helping produce their music, but also pushing the band that getting the best take for a track. Also helping the band with orchestral arrangement as well as piano playing (he did the piano solo in In My Life)

That's a good bit on A Day in The Life. I think that's from Anthology. I know I've seen it before.
