exactly :nice:

he thinks he can't afford one but he has like 10 speakers for his surround system

& TWO monitors,

2 gigantic, useless monitors for the computer.

he loves his technology more than us :disappointed:

Those things are in the news so much over here, I guess they are really bad in New York. Apparently it's even affecting the "dating scene"; people are starting to ask prospective dates if they've ever had bedbugs! :wtf: And they don't just live in beds, although that's where they feed at night. Those things get everywhere. My understanding is they are hard to kill; bug spray probably won't get all of them (and if you don't get all of them, it's pointless because they will just mulitply again). From what I've seen on the news, the best way to kill them is to have someone come in and turn your entire house into a super-hot sauna.

Here's some info, hopefully this helps http://studenttravel.about.com/u/ua/healthystudentholidays/how_to_kill_bedbugs_ua.htm

oh dear.

so the spraying something on it idea is out the window.

we are doomed :bigcry:

thank you for the link.. I'll show him.

hahahah I should of asked him if he had bed bugs before we got to dating :awesome: I think those people doing that are pretty clever. I mean, this stupid bites itch like nothing else, I had to put band aids on them because I couldn't stop scratching :disappointed:

I'll try all those ideas if we have to.. anything to keep me from buying a whole new matress is worth trying.

we thought of asking his parents to get one for us..

but I think that might be a bad idea

If you make your bed in the morning, stop that cause it keeps the bed warm and nice for the bugs :wacky:

I never make my bed unless it's like "GRANDMA IS COMING AND SHE'S SLEEPING IN YOUR BED :bomb:" and I always sleep with the window open so my room gets all chilly and nice.

I guess that's why I havent noticed any bedbugs in my bed

I heard if you encase your matress in plastic???

theyre trapped inside and they die??... i guess.

never had a problem with them but yuck!

hope you get it sorted out :)

Grandma's behind you :bigcry:!!!

Izzy - I just saw this in our local paper yesterday. Someone wrote in to the Doctors' column asking about freezing bedbug ridden linens, etc... the reply was :

A: Freezing to kill bedbugs in a household freezer is simply unreliable. The freezer must get at least below -10 Fahrenheit, which is below normal household freezer temperatures. Also the items should not be bunched up at all when placing them in the freezer as this may allow for the bedbugs to cuddle up in warm corners. Finally, when attempting to kill bedbugs in the freezer the items must stay in the freezer for at least 72 hours to a week without opening the freezer.

I recommend skipping the freezer as a method to kill bedbugs. Putting clothing in the hot drier for at least 30 minutes would kill the bedbugs and probably not damage most material. Otherwise, I would recommend dry cleaning.

And Eric needs to understand this could become serious, the bites/sores, with all the scratching, can cause a "secondary" infection for you or Baby. If you need to sell a damn speaker to pay to get rid of the bugs, do it! Also ask any agencies or health dept. if there is any assistance anywhere in getting rid of these.

Good luck, I feel so bad for you all.

we had bed bugs in our couch a few years ago when we got it from a friend of the family. We had to throw the couch away in the end.
