(Here's a wiki for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about :P It's not super accurate but you get a good idea. The picture is from my former high school Lucia performance a few years ago. I'm in the top left corner )

HAPPY LUCIA DAY, ANNA Elisabeth. You were pretty already then.

In Denmark we have imported the Lucia tradition, but when I was a child many years ago it was not common in Denmark. Now every year places such as the elderly care centres are visited by Santa Lucia / Saint Lucy processions.

As is described in the link: A Saint Lucy procession is headed by one girl wearing a crown of candles (or lights), while others in the procession hold only a single candle each.

It is always a great success.

Happy Lucia day! :d :D We have a Lucia preformence:D :D :D I was a Tärna xD

I had no idea it was celebrated in Scandinavia. :o

We celebarte it like in Italy, which is Anna's wiki link! :D

Oh and Happy Lucia Day. Or Lucija here! :D

Happy Lucia's day ^^

In my old school we used to celebrete it, by singing the Lucia song while all the girls was waking in a kind of parade. Like the picture

This morning I got up at 7 so I could watch the Lucia-performance on tv :awesome: I watch it every year cause I'm a nerd like that  It used to be a thing my mum and I watched together when I still lived with my parents so I texted her this morning to make sure she'd watch the performance before she went to work  It's so cosy to watch it cause it's still dark outside and I sit there wrapped in a blanked with my tea and my lussebulle :awesome:

Lussebulle is the only good thing about Lucia. :wacky:
