Erland and the Carnival

Featured Replies

Erland and the Carnival are a British rock/folk band formed in London by ex Verve guitarist Simon Tong, David Nock formally of The Cult and Orcadian folk guitarist/singer Erland Cooper. A very good upcoming band. Check them out.

Ah yes, I love Erland and the Carnival! Love Trouble In Mind.

Their second album 'Nightingale' is gonna be released this year.

I love the video for this song.

I like the sound of their music. It's like erm, a little 'hollow' and 'dark' in a good way.

Thanks for making a thread for them!

Have to admit I grew up in the same place as Erland Cooper in the Orkney Isles so I certainly know where the folk influence came from. Lovely place to go in the summer. Recommend the place big time.

Seen that album cover so many times, didn't know it was theirs.

I really do recommend the album. It's fabulous. Only cost me £7.
