How does the piano version sound hip-hopish?

VLV/Prospekt's March was the first album I ever bought, so I'm prejudiced towards it. Although before I bought it, Lost! was the second song I ever heard by Coldplay besides VLV and Clocks, Lovers in Japan being the first.

I love singing Fix You because of the falsetto. Actually, I love how Chris sings so high in general. Ah, being an alto is so much fun.

A Whsiper really does bother me, though.

Well, not the piano version

I bought Prospekt and Viva at the same time :awesome:

Let's see, in order the first Coldplay songs I ever heard / bought:

1. Clocks

2. Viva la Vida

3. Lost!

4. How You See The World (no, I don't know why I decided to buy this one  )

5. Fix You & Yellow (bought at the same time)

6. Trouble & Speed Of Sound (bought at the same time)

7. Talk

8. One I Love

. . . and I think I bought Viva / Prospekt after that

I personally don't mind it, but when I try to get my friends to listen to it it becomes a problem :P

:phu:

Hi Madison!

They should make a half rock and half acoustic album.

Hai Madison! :D

(although HYSTW should be on X&Y )

 This x13490813086

I thinking about what direction they ahould take for LP6....

I've been thinking about this lately also.

I hope they go a bit more rock--something like ARoBttH but heavier

Songs like Violet Hill and Yes that are dark and rocky combined with some piano songs like Clocks and Trouble

EDIT: And maybe drop some of the synth stuff. Please? A little bit is fine to give atmosphere.

Hi Madison!

They should make a half rock and half acoustic album.

I can see them heading ina dark-electronic direction with a Depeche Mode-esque sound and more ambient musicscapes :wacky:

But not an unplugged album, please :(

I really do want to hear the rockier side of them...

I think everyone does

Plus they haven't done much of that yet. ARoBttH was the closest they've come, but it was still more indie-rock than pure rock.

Well, not the piano version

High-five for the deluxe edition! :awesome:

I'm guessing it was

1. Clocks (well, it was released way before Viva, so....)

2. Viva la Vida

3. Lovers in Japan

4. Lost!

5. ...Strawberry Swing. I think.

6. All of VLV

7. All of Parachutes

8. All of AROBTTH (...which I absolutely hated for the most part, besides Clocks and The Scientist, on my first listen. :shame:)

9. All of X&Y.

10. Prospekt's March.

11. VIVA VIVA VIVA VIVA VIVA

:P

*drools* :wideeyed:

Basically, combine all of the best parts of every album. :wacky:

Actually, it was the regular Viva album and then I picked up Prospekt's March EP at the same time :P

The only copy of Prospekt, I might add :charming:

Oh. My. God.

I want this.

I need this.

*head explodes from the possibilities*

Or an ambient album! :wacky:

I reach out and touch faith

Part of the reason I loved Viva so much was because of the varied soundscape. I really felt (and I still feel, to some extent) like I was going on a journey. :dazzled:

Strangely, although I would love a rock album, I don't generally like rock. Don't get me wrong, though; when Coldplay rock, they rock, if you know what I mean.

That reminds me, I need to buy VLV and Prospekt's March in jewel cases. I despise slip covers.

We fangirls need it to survive. :wacky:

Or an ambient album! :wacky:

I only like ambient stuff when it's quiet.

So...probably not.

Random thought: Coldplay should make a studio version of the new GPASUYF :wacky:

Definintely

I like it better than the original version

Exactly! I try to explain to people why I love it so much, and that's pretty much spot-on. Every song told a story, but it was also part of a bigger novel. Plus, it was just amazing in general :wacky:

Hmm.

And yes, when they want to, they can rock. :charming:

Agreed about Viva. I don't think it can ever be topped (unless of course they do a rock album :awesome:)

Coldplay rocking is amazing.

I'm trying to imagine the tracklist in my head :freak:

This is what Mark wants:

1. Car Kids

2. Car Kids

3. Car Kids

4. Car Kids

5. Car Kids

6. Car Kids

7. Car Kids

8. Love in a Lethal Dose

9. Car Kids

10. ambient Brian Eno noises

11. Car Kids

-hidden track-

12. Car Kids

Is PM even available in a jewel case?

Plus the fact that they've already gone in the 'ambience' direction. They don't like to repeat themselves so I doubt it will happen
