Jay-Z and Kanye West's joint album 'Watch The Throne' has broken Coldplay's record for the most downloaded album on iTunes in its first week of release.

 

'Watch The Throne', released last week (August 8), has now been downloaded 290,000 times, beating the record set by Coldplay's 2009 album 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends' of 282,000.

 

'Watch The Throne' is expected to have sold around 500,000 copies since its release.

 

Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back To Black’ remained at number one on the UK album chart at the weekend.

 

Black To Black’ held of Kanye West and Jay-Z’s ‘Watch The Throne’, which was a new entry at number three. Adele’s ‘21’ remains at number two in the album chart.
