Favourite "Night Driving" Record?

Featured Replies

Now I've been meaning to make this for awhile but I never got around to it. So the question is what's your favourite record or song to listen to while you are driving at night? Some of you might know what I mean when I say a record has that certain 'feel' of taking place at night or a calmness to it that's great for that specific situation. For me it would have to be 'Saturday Night Wrist' by Deftones, with 'Hot Fuss' and 'No Colour' coming in at a close second and third by The Killers and The Dodos respectively. I've also found that the alternate unreleased version of 'Talk' by Coldplay is great for night driving.

I know it's all fan boyish or whatever, but I listen to X&Y when I drive long distances at night. It's really the only time I enjoy it to be honest.

Radiohead's Hail to the Thief.

Oooh. "Soul Journey" by Gillian Welch too. So good.

Richard Hawley's "True Love's Gutter" springs to mind.

Otherwise...

The National - Sad Songs for Dirty Lovers

Gillian Welch - The Harrow and the Harvest

Or practically any jazz album I own.

Radiohead- hail to the thief

Most definitely. When it comes to single songs then it must be moonlight drive by the doors

I can't drive, so. :awesome:

I'd probably say The Brothel by Susanne Sundfør, it's creepy enough. :P
