Need help on Major Minus music video

I have been assigned a music video, for my Communications class in High School. I chose Major Minus, but am having trouble writing a script for it. I have read this article about the basis for the song being The White Rose, and have chosen to re-enact that in the present day, but do not understand some lines in this context.

Lyrics:

They got one eye watching you

One eye on what you do

So be careful who it is you're talking to

They got one eye watching you

One eye on what you do

So be careful what it is you're trying to do

And be careful if you're walking into view

Just be careful if you're walking into view

Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh oooh

Got one eye on the road and one on you

Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh oooh

Got one eye on the road and one on

They got one eye watching you

One eye on what you do

So be careful cause nothing they say is true

No d, -don't believe a word

Its jus-ust-us against the world

And we just got to turn up to be heard

Hear the crocodiles ticking round the world

Hear the crocodiles ticking, they go ticking round the world

Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh oooh

Got one eye on the road and one on you

Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh oooh

Got one eye on the road and

You could hear them climbing the stairs

Got my right side fighting while my left hides under the chairs

Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh oooh

Got one eye on the road and one on you

Ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh oooh

Got one eye on the road and one on you

Questions on lyrics:

"They" is the gestapo correct?

Do they have both eyes on you, or one eye on both you and what you do?

Does "And be careful when you're walking into view" have a greater meaning then the obvious?

The crocodiles are a reference to Peter Pan and is a metaphor for paranoia correct?

What is the road in "Got one eye on the road and one on you" ?

What does "You could hear them climbing the stairs / Got my right side fighting while my left hides under the chairs" mean? Is it simply getting caught, and not being sure what to do?

Be sure to mention anything else you think could help me,

thanks

TL;DR : I need some help interpreting Major Minus for a music video

I guess in the context of the White Rose movement, that would be correct. A music video wouldn't have to be so literal, but I guess whatever works for you :)

Do they have both eyes on you, or one eye on both you and what you do?

I guess it just means both eyes are watching you.

Does "And be careful when you're walking into view" have a greater meaning then the obvious?

Probably not :P

Correct!

What is the road in "Got one eye on the road and one on you" ?

I think the song was partly inspired by The Road book/film, so its probably just a reference to that.

What does "You could hear them climbing the stairs / Got my right side fighting while my left hides under the chairs" mean? Is it simply getting caught, and not being sure what to do?

Probably.

Well if you're going with the theme of WWII and gestapo, then it could refer to the fact that when jewish families hid with non-jewish families from the gestapo, they often hid in attics and cupboards and other such places, so it could express the terror of the enemy knowing their presence and hearing the gestapo approaching
