birdman987
I was messing around on my guitar last night, and worked out a 'simple chord version' for Us Against The World. "And sing; slow-ow-ow-ow it down" Acoustic guitar in half-step tuning. Excuse my ignorance on chord names, but the ones I used were; C (X, X, 5, 5, 5, X) *Barred with ring finger* 'Cm diminished?' (X, X, 5, 5, 3, X) *Introducing index finger for the D* Call it C2. A (5, X, 7, 6, 5, X) *Could play open A string, but I just liked the sound of the bass note on E. Just the way I played the chords in this song.* 'A variation?' (5, X, 7, 7, 5, 0?) *Don't have my guitar in front of me, so I can't remember if an open top string complements the chord* Call it A2. F (1, x, 3, 2, 1, 1) *The bass note really shines in this chord. You can choose whether you want to alternate the third of the chord from A to A sharp. I didn't.* You can pick up the strumming pretty easily, especially if you listen to the live recordings on Youtube. In standard time, the pattern goes like this: C -/ C2 - C -/ C2 - A -/ A2 - A -/ A2- F -/ F - F -/F - C -/C2 - A -/ A2 - The verse and chorus are the same. So yeah, there's a lazy version of UATW :D NB: Oh yeah, you play the bass notes with your thumb. No duh, I know. But I'll just throw that in there.
