My apologies, I hate it when people start threads for one small question but I'm mostly unfamiliar with this board. Anyway, my mom loves Coldplay and I want to get her a Coldplay-related gift for Christmas, but maybe something a little atypical.

 

Any ideas?

Well the best Coldplay gift I ever got was tickets but since they aren't touring right now I'd suggest, as has been said, heading to their website to have a look. Also have a look on eBay there are some lovely gift ideas on there, even some that can be personalised.

Or if you're artistic you could make her something, how much she'd appreciate this depends on how big of a Coldplay fan she is, and perhaps do something up for her in MX style (if she likes MX). For example, if your mum plays guitar or piano or whatever you could MX-ify it!

Or there are the basic gift ideas that you'll find on the website such as Tshirts, CDs/vinyl, posters etc.

If she's seen coldplay live and took pictures you could put them into an album for her and put some lyrics or messages next to photos. Or if she filmed any parts make her a DVD (could also include pictures on that?).

Or you could buy her a few movies on DVD that have Coldplay songs on the soundtrack , like Garden State or Shallow Hal ?

Coldplay is very inspiring to me, and in your case, great that you mom loves Co. Sth. to share:

1. I don't know besides formal albums, can you make a collection of Coldplay B-sides. They are quite good, yet fresh than "main releases" which might be overplayed or she might have been quite familiar to.

2. Some T-Shirts/Bags whatsoever by considering her daily-life need. I think it is warm and dearing to have this kind of stuff of Co. as a music lover. Usually, I did't wear/use such as I think they are within me, but when I got Beatles/Bob Dylan T-shirt, it is great to have indeed:) Maybe I shall get one of Co. "side productions" as well, besides music, haha.

3. You may make sth. yourself if you are creative? For example, put Co.'s photos together and self-make a 2014 New Year Calendar:) with your own design. I think it is atypical, cause it is a fusion of your love and co.'s love to your mom:) This train of thoughts can go forever, like self-made necklace:), "paper crafts", ceramics, cake, ...self-made also referes to via some open *artistic workshops* where you can bring your idea to create sth. solid etc. by using their facilities etc. Depends on whether this kind of workshop is available in your zone though:)
