Crowd funding campaign launched to get Coldplay to perform in Exeter (Cancelled)

COLDPLAY (To Be Confirmed)

Help bring Coldplay back to Devon! The last time Coldplay performed in this area was back in 2009 when they headlined an initmate charity gig for only 500 people at Exeter Castle and all profits were donated to Mencap!

We think Coldplay deserve a much bigger audience than 500 people which is why we want to convince them to come back to Exeter for a live concert at Powderham Castle.

Once all of the bills have been paid we will be splitting the profits and donating it to four different charities which will be chosen by the band.

This campaign comes at a time where the multi-platinum selling band have just celebrated the release of their sixth UK number one album, Ghost Stories.

Chris Martin the lead singer who originally hails from Exeter is also currently being nominated to receive the Freedom of Exeter Award.

As well as Coldplay there will be a number of support acts lined up and if you're in a band we want to hear from you as there will be an opportunity for you to perform in front of thousands of people.

We're currently in discussions with different venues and will be contacting Coldplay to let them know of our crowdfunding efforts so stay tuned for the latest updates.

Possible Venues Include: Westpoint Centre, Sandy Park Stadium, Powderham Castle

Tickets

Once the target has been reached all ticket prices increase. By contributing towards the target and helping make this event a success you're receiving a discount as a reward.

If for whatever reason Coldplay are unable to perform, you will receive a partial refund depending on the circumstances.

The date for the event is TBC. Once we reach our target we will work with Coldplays agent and the chosen venue on choosing a date that works for them.

Wow such an effort!

Wait gai, I cant open the link. The webpage says I need to log in. Any chance you can screenshot the event page?

Haha I wanna see the event page

By the way, the crowdcan.do does have a good potential for making online events ;) *Never heard of it before*

Hi Guys... We can confirm that the crowdfunding campaign was never launched and the event page has now been removed from the site.

Why?

Coldplay are a hugely popular band that receive requests daily from fans all over the world for them to come and perform in their city. We received some information which could suggest they're already planning a 2015/2016 tour whereby their agent will work with a specific team on booking pre determined locations.

I see. Thank you CrownCanDo.

They got threatened by the band with court action!

Just came across this thread. Really ?! The band threatened a crowdfunding event for charity ? I can't believe it and hope it's not true !

Do we know in the meantime what happened ?
