omg i think i'll like stoker works. yesterday i downloaded some books by allan poe, stoker and julius verne.

i read a stoker's book called 'the judge's house' and i liked it a lot. now this morning i go to internet and ask for his works and i found a site where to read the books in english (i had to download the book i read in a pdf format in spanish). so i found another place called 'horror writers association' and there's an award called 'stoker award'.

previously yesterday night before i read the book, i found that on the site i downloaded it there's a forum so i joined there but the 'writing area' is only for pay. i mean there they correct and answer your doubts but you have to pay i dont know how much money is. but hey there i also found they edit your writings i mean, i can send them and they 'make' the book and give it to me but i have to sell it i mean they don't send it directly to the book shops. :/

time ago i was looking for this option on internet and i found a similar thing by versalbooks. where you send your books they correct it and publish it, you pay the cost but they send a copy to the press and stuff and give you the rest of the books to sell on a book shop. :)

anyways the stoker awards sounds interesting. :)

because recently come to my mind write short stories of mystery so i'll can try it, but it's english and i don't think i'll write it correctly. :/

Hey Ari

Just write in whatever language you please . It is important that you keep writing :)

I think it will be a good idea to go the self-published route just to get your name and work out there in public.

thanks a lot aaron. but self-published means to me that i need to save enough money to pay all the cost of edition and i also have to have contacts with book shops. but i'll keep all my rights but surely i won't have promotion. if i send it to a editorial (sorry i don't know the exact word in english) i lose some rights on my writings but they promote them.

It needed to be bumped :D

I am just enjoying a great day. Did you do any writing over the weekend?

i saw another ingmar bergman film. is called Scenes from a Marriage was a good movie, i liked most other films by him but well that one was one, but a bit :stunned: and so long like 290 minutes :o .

i wanted to see 'welcome to the dollhouse' too but my mum was watching the tv (was watching it on original subtituled version) then she saw the girl was going to be in troubles so she changed the tv channel :dozey: when was more interesting. so later i was awake, but the film has end so :/ then i was 'election' with broderick and witherspoon (well i don't know i wrote her surname correctly).

290 minutes for one movie is long Ari  I would have trouble sitting through it.

I liked Election a lot and yes, you got her surname correct :)

well i think it even don't have pauses. :o i still can't believe i can be sitting all this time :o that's 'cause the tv version is the whole film, it firstly eas going to be a mini-serie of 6 episodes but then he cut some minutes (the film is 150 minutes i think) in the cinemas so the tv version is the whole mini that's why is so long.

election was good, i liked hot it showed the different views of it the cantidates, you know the guy, his stepsister (that's the right word?) and the other girl.

Exactly, that's why I liked Election as well. I just wish here in America we got all of the views of candidates. Most politicians here are full of hot air

True but still, sometimes I wish it weren't that way ;)

well i think politicians are normal people with a job i dont have. sometimes is hard to be a politician. so if you are a good or bad person we see it easier than if they have a differnet job. :/

Politicians aren't normal for the most part here in the US :)

well may be.. but i'm sane if i think they are normal people with a different job that mine... well anyways my dad and some teachers said me 'we always are doing politic'. when we talk, whe buy something and stuff we are changing a situation. :stunned:

I agree with you Ari. And you are sane for sure. We just have different political situations in our respective countries ;)

well you are right different political situations... i think mine's going worst everyday. :/ i don't agree with some political decitions they do on things like edutation :dozey:

I agree, education is not handled well hear in this country. There is not nearly enough money given to schools.

Spain seems to be a lot more open-minded than the US though.

well it depends on what teachers your have too... but now the government want to change some stuff like subjects, degrees and even want to 'delete' some career (history of art for example) :o i can't agree with it. :/ the changes won't be for good.

Yeah, those changes would not be good. Do your schools get funded well over there?
