    To all our fans in the Birmingham, AL and Tampa, FL areas. It is with great regret that we have had to cancel our shows in your towns this week.   Chris is suffering from some issues with his throat and it was felt by his doctor that if he didn’t give his voice a rest he might not be able to sing for the rest of the US dates.   Please be assured that we planning on returning to the US in the spring of 2006 and when we do we will definitely reschedule both of these shows.     Michael Eavis has ruled out four massive acts who were previously rumoured to headline Glastonbury Festival 2008. But confirmed one of them for V!   Glasto favourites Radiohead, Muse and Coldplay will definitely NOT play this year's event, according to the 72-year-old farmer.     Coldplay are expected to return to Glastonbury next year, according to festival organiser Michael Eavis. The band last topped the bill at the festival when they played in 2005.     Michael Stipe [pictured] was in Austin, Texas Friday for Coldplay's taped performance on venerable music program Austin City Limits, where early reports indicated he might join Chris Martin and his bandmates onstage for a song.     R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe will release a charity EP featuring six versions of a song, "In the Sun," which the singer hopes will remind the public about the continued suffering of survivors of Hurricane Katrina.     Microsoft has announced that its singalong game Lips is set to release its first downloadable song pack next month.   Available worldwide from 13 March, the song pack is set to feature three Coldplay songs, including "The Scientist", "Speed of Sound" and "In My Place".
