U2 frontman Bono has apologised after using a four-letter word live on radio to describe Coldplay singer Chris Martin. The Irish singer, 48, was being interviewed by Jo Whiley on the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge this morning when he called Martin a 'w*****'. A BBC spokeswoman said: 'An on-air apology was made immediately for the language used during the live broadcast. We apologise for any offence caused.' After Bono swore, Jo brought the interview to a halt and asked him to apologise to listeners.

The “Countdown To Coldplay” is almost over for Australian fans, and Coldplay will be performing to 17,000 fans at Perth’s Burswood Dome tonight. Don't forget that Coldplay's recent show at the Tokyo Saitama Super Arena will be screened on 62 MTV channels around the world tomorrow (Friday 27th February), in their new MTV World Stage slot. Microsoft has announced that its singalong game Lips is set to release its first downloadable song pack next month. Available worldwide from 13 March, the song pack is set to feature three Coldplay songs, including "The Scientist", "Speed of Sound" and "In My Place". Already released on 20 February were tracks "How To Save a Life" by The Fray, "Speed Up" by Funkerman, and "Swing Life Away" by Rise Against.
